Hi all,
those with old blockchain, which wallet starts very slow. I have found a way to synch your wallet from old wallet to new wallet locally.
What you need?Computer A. With blockchain synch with old wallet.
Computer B. With new wallet, and no blockchain.Make sure that your computer A and computer B are on the same network and router. Make sure they're connected to internet and sharing is also working between them.
Right click on network computer icon on bottom. Click "change adapter settings" on left side, then click your network that you're using. It should be there and enabled. Open it, then click on details. See image below
There you will IPv4 address, shown like in the above pic. Write it down. Leave the computer1 running. Also the old wallet should be running on computer1.
Now go to computer 2, with the new wallet.
type run, type %appdata% hit enter.
In there, create a folder named "EnergyCoin" in the folder create a text file, Edit it on notepad. And write this:
server=1
rpcuser=abc
rpcpassword=Kkwow
rpcallowip=127.0.01
rpcallowip=insert computer 1 ip here
connect=insert computer 1 ip here.
So the file should look like
server=1
rpcuser=abc
rpcpassword=Kkwow
rpcallowip=127.0.01
rpcallowip=192.168.xx.xx
connect=192.168.xx.xx
Important: This mistake is easily made, That the conf file should be energycoin.conf. Not Energycoin.conf.txt!!
Important: Do not provide any addnode to computer 2. Which is new wallet, it should only connect to your computer 1.
After doing this. start your wallet on both computers, let them load, now you will notice much faster synch on computer 2 with new wallet. It will synch all blocks locally and save you bandwidth.
New wallet is much faster, it loads very fast and uses less cpu. its also packed with checkpoints.
