 For those who might be interested in node bandwidth usage. Here is info from my pi node since Oct 4th 2014.

 RX: 2.46 GiB  TX:8.72 GiB  Total:11.36 GiB

 Now, this dose include some odds and ends like remote desktop login and some other odds and ends that ring up some eth usage, but by en large, this usage is mostly Energy node data.

 This is not a bad amount of usage for just under 2 months and the pi is working flawless for handling this. I wanted people to know this who might have a relatively low internet cap, but want to run a node for energy.

I hope so but we have t accumulate some more.
There are stil some people without fait or patiance.
This weekend I create a small roadmap like this and with links to the forum with explanation and details:

Q1-2 start smal in hopfully city of Arnhem with tree collection App with rewarding for BIG data supply
Q1-2 start EnergyCoin green option market (yes options!)
Q3 DEX for only POS green coins and fiat money (EnergyCoin is then the coin others can exchanged and EnergyCoin for fiat)
Q3 rewarding App smart driving with hybrid cars and other rewarding projects
Q4 Green energy trading exchange with EnergyCoin

The actual output is depending of succes the first steps in te roadmap.
The support of the community is important, with very low value it is not easy to convince important people!
Keep your coins and be patience!
This is  PLAN FOR ONE YEAR!

Awesome.. I love this coin and will also continue holding/buying... I have been popping in and out of here for almost 8months now and there is never a dull moment things are always happening Jan is always around Smiley

I posted on twitter and I truly believe this is a coin you stash away and come back in the future... Will be a good one Smiley

There is still budget for setting up a Raspberry PI node.

Hi all,

those with old blockchain, which wallet starts very slow. I have found a way to synch your wallet from old wallet to new wallet locally.

What you need?

Computer A. With blockchain synch with old wallet.
Computer B. With new wallet, and no blockchain.

Make sure that your computer A and computer B are on the same network and router. Make sure they're connected to internet and sharing is also working between them.

Right click on network computer icon on bottom. Click "change adapter settings" on left side, then click your network that you're using. It should be there and enabled. Open it, then click on details. See image below

There you will IPv4 address, shown like in the above pic. Write it down. Leave the computer1 running. Also the old wallet should be running on computer1.

Now go to computer 2, with the new wallet.

type run, type %appdata% hit enter.
In there, create a folder named "EnergyCoin" in the folder create a text file, Edit it on notepad. And write this:

Code:
server=1
rpcuser=abc
rpcpassword=Kkwow
rpcallowip=127.0.01
rpcallowip=insert computer 1 ip here
connect=insert computer 1 ip here.

So the file should look like

Code:
server=1
rpcuser=abc
rpcpassword=Kkwow
rpcallowip=127.0.01
rpcallowip=192.168.xx.xx
connect=192.168.xx.xx

Important: This mistake is easily made, That the conf file should be energycoin.conf. Not Energycoin.conf.txt!!
Important: Do not provide any addnode to computer 2. Which is new wallet, it should only connect to your computer 1.

After doing this. start your wallet on both computers, let them load, now you will notice much faster synch on computer 2 with new wallet. It will synch all blocks locally and save you bandwidth.  Smiley

New wallet is much faster, it loads very fast and uses less cpu. its also packed with checkpoints.

.....

We can continue to make a network support giveaway.

I have to review a raspberry install document, but don't have much time those day's

To finish, eco-green projects related distribution will make us different (in my mind, for a successful energycoin experiment)
Hi sardokan this is an post of some time ago.
Do you have time to finish you review jet?
I really think e need more network support and a I continue the 10k ENRG giveaway for the Raspberry PI.
I posted the link yesterday.
..

I have now only 4 connections on my laptop and only 9 on the raspberry PI.
We need more people stake their wallet to secure the network.
Or do I have to addnodes?
Can you post or someone else nodes if nou have more connections?

Thank you EenrgyCR for this tip!

Hi all,

Now a brief report of the BitCoin meetup yesterday in Arnhem:
It was a lively and well-attended meeting and talked with a lot of people about EnergyCoin, Bitcoin and other coins. Actualy the developer of "Internet of Coins" gave a very nice presentation.
People told me that the link of an Altcoin with Bitcoin block chain is important and there are several ways to establish that. We have alraidy EnergyGHZ mining shares and few days ago Ryan told me he is thinking of using Counterparty for DEX assets and counterpatrty runs on the Bitcoin block chain. Internet of Coins goes a step further and I discussed with Jochem de Koning the developer. I also discussed with the developers of CheckCoin and we go work together for the GEO project of the trees I working on.
So I can state it was a very intresting and fruteful meeting for me and for the future of EnergyCon.

hey guys, i just noticed that current number of blocks says 662319. And just received coins from bittrex. And it was fine.

But http://explorer.energycoin.pw shows 662356 blocks.

can you guys start your own wallet, then send or receive coins from bittrex, then report here what's your block height?

click on debug window and there it should say it. also only send little amount to bittrex. I am noticing there might be one fork. be careful and report back to me. thanks

Next meet up in Arnhem I maybe give presentation about the EnergyCoin project.

Couldn't sync it either. I edited below's quote to show my full energycoin.conf configuration file that does work. Thanks Kawa900jc!

I saw some complaints about the dev... I don't know about it all but...
1. only Dutch coin besides Guldencoin that still seems to be here... Nice change Smiley
2. dev still responds on support requests (I made a typo in my email address)
3. dev should update the ann to at least show the complete, working conf file. The one he gives crashes the wallet and makes no sense.
4. only Android wallet can be downloaded from website. No trace of any windows wallet. Also not good.

All in all, I still like the coin for long-term holding Smiley
