2:1 WOW Messi is a freaking beast. His first free kick was beautiful and the goalkeeper made a great save. His second freekick was even better. Seriously, this guy looks like he is playing the same quality at world cup as during his normal club matches. No nerves at all. Absolutely amazing skill.

He's a lot better now than the first two matches. He wasn't on the level at the beginning.

I guess he reached his confidence level.

Nigeria goalkeeper patting Messi's back and joking about something as they walk back on the field. Probably told him how good his freekick was  Cheesy Love the sportsmanship.

Some interesting stats from commentator: the Americans bought the most tickets for this Cup after Brazilians, while Argentina fans are in 3rd place by number of tickets bought.

edit: Messi's 2nd goal. Beautiful.

I really hope that Ecuador go through with France tonight, but it is gonna be a tough game against France. Honduras are mathematically still in with a shout of qualifying, but there are too many goals to claw back against a capable Swiss side.

They deserved a draw at least. Their keeper had a really great game. Seemed to be laughing throughout the game as well  Cheesy.

Probably worth the 177 mil $ people have given him the worth of.

Maybe he just needed a couple of games to get warmed up. Weill bd interesting to see how he fares against some of the better teams in the next rounds.

Ecuador and France are keeping an interesting game going
88 minutes into the game and no one scored
This secures Frances spot think Ecuador will be able to hold theirs with a tie.

Was watching the news and they said Ecaudor is out not sure why
Did I miss something in the standings thought they had second secured.

Nvm I figured it out the standings table didn't update till just now.

France go through to the last 16 as Group E winners

Ecuador are out of the World Cup

Switzerland go through to the last 16 as Group E runners-up

Nice hat trick from Shaqiri , the other match between france and ecuador was boring, as expected, france put to rest some key players and the game ended in a boring draw.
