Yeah Russia is out, Algeria and Belgium advance.

In the game Algeria kicked the ball down the field and it went out of play and a player from the Algerian bench kicked it away so the Russian player couldn't immediately throw it back in. He got a yellow for it.

One of the managers kicked the ball away in one of the previous games and he was lucky not to get booked. Might've been the German manager but I'm not 100%. Kicking it away is just silly really. It's not like it's Sunday league football and you have to go running after the ball before you can resume play haha.

Pathetic performance from Russia. It's not just Capello that's to blame, the players wasted SO MANY chances in all 3 games. Chances where any other team would already score 5 goals, but Russian players always fail. Always kicking the ball too high, or too far to the left or the right, or directly at the goalkeeper, or just making dumb passes when you should be shooting on goal. We had arguably the easiest group too - Korea and Algeria were never strong football teams, and Belgium is only decent but nowhere near the top tier Euro teams. Absolutely pathetic to not even win a single match.

Congrats to Algeria, first time they got out of group stage.

Russia is always like that and Capello isn't the coach to fix it. Algeria deserved to advance and yes congratulations to them.

Time for quarterfinals. Brazil - Chile: I'm going to go with Chile winning by penalties after a draw. Chile only lost to Netherlands which isn't really something to be upset about, and Brazil hasn't been that impressive in my opinion.

Uruguay - Colombia. Going with Uruguay, something like 2-1. I watched Uruguay more than Colombia and I know they beat Italy which is a pretty good team. Also Colombia had a really easy group.

I think costa rica just run with some luck but in the knock out stage they will be beaten quicly even greece or another one, btw everybody think that uruguay will lose without suarez but i dont think so, colombia doesnt have falcao too and they are not losing.

Replace Uruguay with Costa Rica and I am d'accord. Suarez was banned for the remainder of the World Cup for biting the Italian guy. Without him Uruguay won't be as strong.

Also there is a slight possibility that Chile beats Brazil. Especially if Brazil keeps being so unstable in the defense.

Judging by the games so far I'd place high bets on Germany vs the Netherlands playing the finals.

I was expecting long ban but I think he got really short ban it must be atleast 1 year ban. He did intentionally and it is not good for sportsmen.
