Ecuador were unfortunate not to win that game. After losing Valencia (harshly I felt), they had a few chances to nick a goal and win the game. Their keeper was fantastic, but unfortunately Honduras couldn't get anything from their game.

Honduras themselves were robbed of a penalty too, how the linesman didn't see it as a foul I've no idea. Seems like the smaller teams don't get legitimate claims, whereas teams like Brazil get penalties for nothing.

Unfortunately Ronaldo always seems to choke at national team competitions. But I still like him because you can tell he tries his best in the Portugal team.

Interesting day tomorrow. We've got:

USA - Germany. After seeing both of these teams play, there is certainly room for an upset here. Germany is favored, but USA performed well against Ghana, and Ghana tied with Germany.

Portugal - Ghana. Another very interesting match. Portugal has been looking weak, but they performed about the same against the Americans as Ghana. This match is rather even, with potential for a LOT of goals because both of these teams are offense-oriented.

Algeria - Russia. If Russia wins, they will go through to next round. Their performance so far is really poor though so Algeria could easily upset them like they did the Koreans.

Korea - Belgium. I think this is the only easy to decide match. Belgium should get a solid win here, 1-0 or 2-0.

I'm liking US and Germany tomorrow to end in a draw. It is just too convenient of a situation for both teams to advance comfortably. Germany would still finish top of the group like they want with a draw.

Also liking Algeria to upset Russia or at least end in a draw. Algeria looked awesome last match while Russia has looked lackluster all tournament. Capello is not inspirational and don't really see this game being any different. Russians only play well on home soil. Algeria win/draw for me

If the USA game does not end in a draw, I hope that the US wins and somehow Portugal wins by like 8 goals to overtake Germany for being assholes and not taking the draw.  It is in Germany's interest to draw, they advance, and they dont have to worry about a Portugal team that will get stronger as the tourney goes on.

Today I learned that you are more likely to get bitten by a Uruguayian soccer player than getting bitten by a shark!  Cheesy

"You are more likely to be bitten by Luis Suarez (1 in 2,000) than a shark (1 in 3,700,000)"

Did you hear that people put bets on Suarez biting a player at this World Cup?

175/1

Not a bad return for those audacious enough to put on a speculative bet.

lol thats pretty funny but i really dont feel as a non professional football player i have a 1-2000 shot at getting bit by Suarez.  Maybe the players in premier league would qualify.

Today Germany and USA will pass another round together. Sorry for Portugal and Ghana. Ronaldo is such a loser. This WC is turning to Messi - Neymar - Deutschland challenge.

Add some other to this challenge like France and Holland.

They prove that they can do this maybe this year.

Germany or France is going to win the WC. I'm sure Chile will beat Brasil, if that happens there will be a lot riots going on in Brasil.

But then again, the FIFA will do everything to keep Brasil in the WC as long as possible I think.
