This has been happening fairly frequently for me ( once or twice a week ) recently. I have to resort to the following :

BACK UP wallet.dat ( Users/your_user_directory/AppData/Roaming/BlackCoin )
delete everything except wallet.dat from that directory

Run wallet again to download complete blockchain. Your transactions will show as the blockchain downloads.

This project is turning out to be so much bigger than I initially thought. Hence I completely understand delays or just releasing Halo in bits and pieces. Words cannot really describe how much I appreciate what David is doing for BlackCoin and crypto as a whole.
