Looks like everything went fine.

I have a question to developers or someone that knows :
I've heard that now it's possible to know how many coins are staking at any time, can anyone confirm and tell how ?

Thanks

The transition over to PoS 2.0 is complete Cheesy

Want to know what has changed? Read this SHORT (Yes its short, 2page no excuses) whitepaper regarding the changes made in PoS 2.0. I helped author it so I can assure you it isn't above anyones pay grade and anyone should be able to understand the changes with little effort. Check it out: http://www.blackcoin.co/blackcoin-pos-protocol-v2-whitepaper.pdf

Since protocol v2 the network weight simply corresponds to the number of coins that are available for staking. Mouse over the green arrow on the bottom right of the qt wallet to get a tooltip which shows the network weight. You can also get this information in the console of the debug window through the command "getstakinginfo" (divide by 10^8 to get coins).

Network weight seems to be how many coins that are available for staking but aren't currently staking. So if all the network coins were staking at the time then network weight would be 0?

How do you find out spendable + staking coins at the moment?

Yes, coins on stake are not available for staking (i see the term 'staking' is the process from moving coins on stake). Your own Spendable + staking still can be seen as "Total" in the overview tab of the qt client.

Yes, but you can't see "Total" of everyone can you?

Not in the wallet afaik, however this information can easily be parsed from the blockchain. EDIT: On a second thought, this can not be done without approximation, you can only determine how many coins are on stake and how many free coins are available for staking, but this isn't necessarily the "total" number of coins that are available for staking, since someone could create a block and go offline immediately afterwards.

Someone knows why my coins total is 0 with the new wallet? Is this normal? Will I see my coins back when the total blockchain is downloaded?

You'll be waiting for a long time if you expect him to respond here. He is no longer 'involved' with BC. You can find him here : https://twitter.com/IconicExpert

As soon as the download comes to a block where your wallet is involved it will update accordingly and at the end you will be back to your current balance, yes.

If your wallet was a version several iterations older than the newest, the whole blockchain will need to be re-downloaded, and so yes, as the chain is downloaded, your balance will start to show up in the wallet.

Feature request for NightTrader and the other BC oriented exchange that is under development:

Would be nice if I could distribute my order within a range, for example I'd like to buy 10,000 BlackCoins, and the current price is 14,500 sat. I could select a range 13,500 - 14,300 sat, and the exchange software would distribute my 10,000 buy order evenly within that range in 5 x 2,000 BC orders for example. And the order amounts could be even randomized a bit, being between 1,500 - 2,500.

So, I would then have the following buy orders:

14,300  1,827
14,116  2,059
13,875  2,207
13,721  1,759
13,500  2,148

Yes I could do that manually, but aren't computers supposed to make your life easier? Smiley
