Oh wow!!!  Shocked we're now on Cryptsy as well! Cool Cool Cool
We've got 4 of the top exchanges covered Grin Grin
This coin is destined for great things and I'm glad I got my little stash!   Grin Cool

Just one thing I can't seem to figure out. I got my wallet unlocked and open all day for the past 3-4 days but I don't think I'm staking  Huh
What do I need to do to start staking my SC? Thanks!

Make sure you encrypt your wallet.... then unlock it for staking only... That helped me the first time.. The little thunderbolt should then say how long till next stake

Looks like a cool coin, too bad I bought a bunch at 6k like a noob. Can't decide if I just let it hang or buy more to average down.

Just invested another 0.5 BTC into this coin.
Things will be warming up nicely this week. Invest while the price low enough.  Wink

It's not this coin I'm worried about. Mintpal pump group seemingly leaving that exchange and taking BTC with them is what worries me.

Have you set a reserve balance under Settings? That might be your problem, if not send us a screenshot of your wallet and we'll see what we can do.

Ok, I set a reserve balance of 5 SC Smiley

My wallet is encrypted and unlocked for staking.
Also I don't know if the thunderbolt sign was there before, never really looked at it. Anyways hovering the cursor over it, it says staking, expected time for reward 1 day Smiley

Hope I've done everything right. I'll leave for some time and see how it goes. Thanks your help! Smiley

Make Silkroad use Silkcoin. Make yourself heard on the Silkroad forum. Make all the crackheads realise that Silkcoin is the way to go. Crackheads got LOTS of magic internet money laying around. Silkroads got $22 million in annual sales. Think about that!
the devs made it clear they dont want anything to do with silk road or the darkweb

So they decided to use Silkroads camel logo, even some of Silkroads name for the coin, but do not want to be associated with Silkroad in any way? That is just... freakishly stupid

Why this freaking name then? WTF guys XD Call it NewCoin or some shit instead then

Dude, when you open a thread that aim to trash talk about a coin, you lose all your credibility.
If Silkcoin was indeed a scam coin, you would not have to put that much effort in destroying it. You look like a fool, everyone knows silkcoin is solid.

Seriously just put your fingers into a power point, that would either wake you up from your silly thought or kill you. Both are equaly acceptable.

Does the lightnig show that you have weight when moving the mouse over it?
If yes - You are staking. The amount of Coins needed adjusts itself, The network only takes as much coins as it needs to stake.

DogeCoin has gained a large lead in the voting for the next coin to be added to CoinRecycler, with 45% of the votes!

It would be exciting to see DOGE as the first real coin on CoinRecycler Smiley Not only would those of you that are MastiffCoin fans be able to recycle DOGE for MAST, but DogeCoin would also gain the ability to do anonymous transactions!

Don't forget to vote at voting.mastiffcoin.com - ~33 hours left until the votes are tallied and the next coin is selected!

I find this coin interesting from a creative perspective although I'm not sure why other than the slick website and clear market momentum.  If I may ask a moronic Monday question about POS.  How is POS any different from a instamined scam coin if the POW stage ends so quickly that the distribution is definitely consolidated to a bunch of greedy SOBs?

SilkCoin had 2 PoW phases to ensure that there was a good distribution of the coins. The first PoW phase was pre-announced, allowing miners enough time to regroup their resources to mine SilkCoin. After the initial PoW phase there was a one month phase of full PoS.

This month long PoS phase allowed us time to build a proper foundation for SilkCoin before the second PoW phase and hence SilkCoin had grown a lot more popular and had garnered a lot more attention and visibility than in the first PoW phase.

This meant that there were far more miners in the second PoW phase leading to better distribution of the coin supply. Evidence as to the distribution can be found here : http://explorer.silk-coin.com/richlist/ where you can see how well distributed SC is.

OK just being the devils advocate here yes the distribution is fairly even according to that list but just 403 wallets.  Is that all the interest ATM in creative and slick alt coins with clear technical prowess behind them.  I would think the bare minimum number to find at leaat 2000 unique and verified individual wallets to be called fairly distributed in my book, but I guess I may be a overly optimistic type person.

I dont know if there are really just 403 Wallets but you have to see that Silkcoin is listed on the 4 biggest exchanges (Mintpal,Cryptsy,Poloniex,Bittrex) and most people leave their Coins in the exchanges.
two reasons could be: Small amount of Coins, so staking wouldnt pay out OR someone is using mobile devices/ no stationary Computer.

Well it was an interesting week-end !  I realy though that with the 2nd PoW it would be a massive dump from multipool, and it looks like the dump is a little bit delayed, and pretty smooth lol.  Its just amazing how much buy support this young coin have, even with this criminal FUDer trying to get SC down.  For those (as I did for a little amount) who bought @6k satoshi, no need to panic.  Just hold on (or day trade), and soon or later price will catch up.

For the newcomers, I would advise that any sub 4k buy is a no brainer at the moment.  I was hoping for a cheaper rebuy spot, but I wont jeopardize my ride with SC.  I do prefer to pay a little bit more and be sure to be onboard when the run to 10k+ kick in.
