Here's a graph that shows why the hashrate is a problem right now. Someone is absolutely raping this coin and dumping it mercilessly.

Edit: what you want to look at is the pie graph. That is completely abnormal to see a coin have 63% of all non LTC altcoins. Someone decided to utilize a supercomputer farm or something to kill this coin. Luckily PoW ends soon. Also this shows that the market price right now is essentially meaningless. The market value will be much closer to reality once the manipulator is shut out.

It is the design of PoW/PoS hybrids. With endless PoW coins like Bitcoin, coins are constantly produced into the distant future (possibly indefinitely) which means miners can constantly dump their coins on the market to make money, rather than hold them in hopes that they increase in value in the future. With PoW/PoS hybrids, the PoW instead ends after a (usually) short period of weeks or months, and then transitions into a state where miners can no longer acquire coins. This gives incentive for saving of the coins rather than dumping on the market, helping them achieve market penetration.

The interest you see on this coin of 3.33% is the interest you accrue simply by owning the coins in your personal wallet application that you can run on your computer. You do not earn interest if your coins are held on an online wallet or exchange unless that entity specifically offers to pay you the interest generated by your coins. The interest also acts as an incentive to leave your wallet open which operates as a "full node", essentially performing the same roll that miners perform in maintaining and verifying the financial ledger system on a constant basis.

Additionally, coin mining requires electricity similar to that used by large cities which some consider to be grossly wasteful. PoS coins hope to offer an alternative where crypto currencies can enter a state where they can be bought and sold on the market, fulfilling their primary role as a financial instrument, without the huge energy cost to society.

OK, everything fixed. Thanks for your patience, it turned out the "DDoS" was a multipool (or simply lots of rented rigs) which simply "raped" the servers .. Must be half the hashing power of betarigs i think.. crazy ..

- 100XC to 1000XC's Required (#'s still being vetted)

- Any client having the required XC's can enable xnode option (windows, mac & linux wallets)

- xnodes will charge a fee which will be deducted from the transaction and kept in the local wallet << incentive based >>

- no masternode or supernode required to communicate xnodes to clients

- fully decentralized


Hope that answers all the questions, the majority of the code is already in the wallet and I expect a release supporting these features as outlined above to be available for testing in 3 weeks or less
