I don't want to bring you down, mate but here is some constructive criticism:

1. Spelling mistake: THERE and not THEIR
2. Wild West themed font makes no sense at all for this coin.
3. Bad resolution logos for the exchanges make the whole banner look cheap.

Sorry for the spamming, I couldn't help myself.

Also, I think that we should change the name to just xc and have the name as the logo.

For example (light logo and dark logo|)

I'm thinking this is the direction to take, unfortunately I haven't gone back through all the posts yet and the current logo could be easily adjusted for this change

I still like this one the best.

Can anybody compare this anonymity model with Darkcoin's Darksend?

pros + cons

I can't find yet cons against this anon. Pro is that it is more descentralized, this anon does not uses masternodes like DRK,  every wallet can be an xnode to anonymize the transaction.

That is major pro, because with DarkCoin you could have only a relatively small number of people host the master nodes. With XC, you can buy your grandmother an xnode for her 80th birthday and she would still be able to run it.

It works ^

I haven't staked anything yet Sad

Me neither, I still don't get how this works.  Huh

You leave coins in your wallet, and make sure its unlocked, and you will get payments automatically, the less coins you have, the less likely you will stake so you will stake less frequently, however on average you will earn 3.3% on your coins every year.

coins are in wallet, wallet is unlocked. Nothing. The countdown never changes, it always remains expecting to mint in xx minutes and never ever changes.

Ignore that xx minutes, that does not mean anything and you can see it on other PoS coins as well. Your stake atm is very small, just over 22 coins, wait for it to increase a bit. I am sure everything is working.

Please excuse my bad english
I like your clean and professional design...

I by myself have worked a few times on logo and website designs, but i am unfortunately really bad in design and have not enough creativity.
Although, I have some knowledge..
Important features a logo should have:
- memorable
- A good logo exists, if anyone can trace it with a pen, and it is recognized. I have to say: draw an apple with a bite, and everyone knows what is meant
- Print matters: a good logo consists of a maximum of 3 colors, best just 2.
- no 3d, no color gradients
- it must be possible to reduce to logo to black and white an it has still to look good. Likewise, the negative image of it (if you noticed this at the beginning, you will thank afterwards)
- a Logo profits if it uses a interesting, individual kind of typo. So die "f" in facebook.

I would like a combination of your design and Teka's design some pages ago. I used this and tried to "implement" this in a round design and I think
a mix of your two designs could work very well.

Dev is aware of the fact that something about the brand needs to be done. Let s not be too narrow-minded but collect fresh ideas from the community and/or professional designers. The "X" is not a must, to my mind it s rather a bump. I ll repost my thoughts about it, guys, please keep this brand discussion alive. XC is NOT a name, it s an abbrevation! Some guys here don t seem to get it. I think the current corporate design is not bringing it. We need a professional solution.

I m disappointed the renaming has been decided without any further discussion. I would have recommended not to be so restricted about the naming of this gem and concentrate more on an open discussion without enforcing an early decision. But i couldn t even finish my post until it was done. A little too fast i think with a little too less consideration.

To my mind "XC" does well as an abbrevation but as a name it s not working. It s not fluent (how could it be without a vowel) and it would be a rather bumpy word in every conversation. Under marketing aspects this coin definitely has an unsexy name. If you don t care about marketing that might not appear to be problem but a coin with this success story needs a professional branding. Everything else would be irresponsible.

Big problem: the X. If you stick to this letter you have a very limited choice as there are not that many words beginning with it, right now "Xeno" or "Xent" (oh no, reminds me of Cents so forget it ^^ ) comes to my mind but it still sounds that little bit too fierce because of the sharp "X". The other proposals, with all respect, sound as artificially constructed as mine because it s just hard to find a (compound) word with this capital letter.

I would have recommended to restart with new ideas, focus on the main features/benefits of this coin and find a fitting brand with no restrictions to its current naming.

We all are more and more getting the idea of how big this one could be. This one definitely would have needed a professional designer with a relevant skill set to ensure a proper brand identity. This premature decision might reflect the current rush but it might not be the best for the coin's future marketability and competitivness.

1. Spelling mistake: THERE and not THEIR
2. Wild West themed font makes no sense at all for this coin.
3. Bad resolution logos for the exchanges make the whole banner look cheap.

1) Spelling mistake - my bad
2) I don't care what you think of the font, because I didn't make it for you.
3) Was the best res logo's I could find.

I done this for free, sorry please do a better job then, because it took me an hour.
May fix spelling mistake? - may also not be anally retentive like you!

You wasted 1 hour to make a crap banner with no meaningful use and you can't take criticism? Ok, cool. I got it.

Anyway. I am sure it was good practice for you and the next one you make will be a lot better.
