@Genesis Mining

Considering the huge price fall in the last days at which price you stop mining coins ergo we dont get our daily payouts. This is a very important question. At which price your mining operation is no longer profitable and you have to stop?

It is a common myth that Bitcoin is ruled by a majority of miners. This is not true. Bitcoin miners "vote" on the ordering of transactions, but that's all they do. They can't vote to change the network rules.

One thing in my mind since yesterday...
I do scrypt mining and use BTC payout. Altcoins and dollar stay stable - why do my BTC payouts drop ? Shouldnt they rise ?

I am a bit tired these days and may be i just dont understand it  Huh

Ugh, BTC drops making what you pay in fees cost more, if BTC ever hits about $150 it will not be profitable at all anymore to mine.
All coins are getting slaughtered right now so the coins you mine are worth way less, add the drop in BTC price = paying more of your BTC in fees and mining becoming way less valuable

I really cannot believe the stupidity/money ratio here with you people, its a basic as it gets!

Payout is low maybe mainly because the price/value of BTC is declining.

BTC price has nothing to do with the payments if we are speaking directly... The btc price is making other coins getting slaughtered and thats why the payments are getting lower...

Yes, and the service fees go up too, so that is affecting it, and if anyone wants to feel bad about payouts, wait till you see how much a waffle gets today...Truly awful.
SO please do not complain about GM as the waffle cost me the same price at the time of purchasing and it is absolutely...¤¤"#"`#" .. lol

If BTC will trade at or below USD 150 for more than 20 days than our contacts will be deleted?
Or will we become some satoshi after a price recovery of BTC again?

Sorry for these negative questions but at the moment the price of BTC goes in the wrong direction.  Sad

Kind regards, Smiley

I don't know Zorro, perhaps if you told them you were quite happy to keep paying them for maintenance for longer than 20 days then they would keep it open for you. I think they have that rule because if they did not, then people would be saying they were thieves etc for taking money from you for ever and ever. Perhaps if you have a small amount of hashpower, so the fees each days are just a few cents, you could probably keep it going for longer than 20 days if you wanted, but I think, for those who are having 10 USD or more in fees going out each day, then they would really be wanting to have their contracts closed down as quickly as they could.

Just a thought anyway.

It depends on many factors, not only the price. Also on the difficulty and the price of altcoins in comparison to BTC. E.g. if LTC is performing well vs BTC this will certainly help.

More importantly we strongly believe in Bitcoin and many other Altcoins. For example, all three founders purchased Bitcoin (private positions) when we reached the $300 level. We consider Bitcoin to be undervalued given the huge advancements that were made in the last year.

Cheers, Marco
