how can they actually prove they are really mining coins and not just taking people's money and shorting the money to pay people who have purchased hash?

please provides proof that this company is really mining coins.

has anyone actually visited their data center?

I can give you proof that they have miners.

This pictures below Marco Streng specially send me on request.
I believe Its`s 100% legit. Even more, i am happy Marco Streng and his team made it possible to have  a new kind of cloudmining service like this.

It`s that Iceland is to far away for me to visit, other wise i already asked for it be possible to make a trip to there.
My Website article: http://www.bitcoinupdate.nl/home/het-genesis-mining-datacenter

has anyone on this site actually visited their data center - there are some cloud mining services that I am pretty sure aren;t really mining at all and I'd like some real proof before I invest.

in addtition - can you actually see what you're mining? can you choose a pool to mine in and create a worker to see that worker actually mine?

what kind of machines are pictured there? who is the manufacturer?
Yes that can all be possible. It`s possible that they are mining for them selves, even when i visit it will not proof they are mining for me, or who knows. Bit of trust will not hurt you.

See it like this, I have daily payouts and i made roi, what more can i ask for?

To answer your mining question, i do not see CGMiner, i see payouts, i can choice coins, no pool choice.
Wait, this makes it more clear: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a57NhdyQ6tw

Please contact genesis mining and schedule a visit to Iceland it is very nice country. Wink

If genesis points your hash power to the real pool of your choice how would they subtract the daily fees ?
If you get a worker Id would that actually mean anything except that you will probably have to pay all the fees when hash power is activated ?
Do you expect worker to be the size of your contracted hash power or aggregated slots of 10GH would satisfy you?

Approach like "you choose the pool" (u r just binding your hash power to specific public pool profitability) is not the proof that hash power
exists for you. There are some mining providers out there that 'offer' that but that's more like try and cry solution.

Genesis is using multiple pools/proxies (it was written somewhere in this topic) for redundancy as they are protecting users where lot of pools are not always 100% up time.
Would you agree to get 0 MH because you picked the pool that was down for 24h (accumulated or not) ?

Of course, there is always someone who wants to speculate which pool is better and all that, but personally I want security and contracted hash power.

Do you ask AT&T about the manufacturer of their equipment or you just pay the service and use it ?

You can always buy a miner, set it up at home, point to the pool and do it the old fashioned way like most of us did long time ago Wink

Bottom line I think you are missing the point of service as cloud mining where I don't care about any of this, just want my daily payout and leave the
technicalities and speculations to someone else.

Happy cloud mining;

Yeah, who cares, you got some payouts, so they must be legit.
"A bit of trust" definitely hurt them:

Guys what does this mean, under the maintenence fee

"As a consideration for the Services the Customer agrees to pay to the Service Provider an amount of (the "Fee"):
a. 0.799 USD per GH/s upfront
b. USD 0.02 per 10 GH/s and day, deducted on a daily basis* from the generated Coins"

What does the upfront part mean?

Well that was the price you paid for the contract. 0.799 USD per GH/s.  15.99 USD for 20GH/s etc. You sent that amount to them to get your contract approved, so that is the upfront cost.

ok wtf last transaction 10-21-14 Huh?

When do I get my payout?
Genesis Mining provides daily payouts of all mined coins!

A mining day usually starts at 00:00 UTC and ends at 23:59:59 UTC. If you just bought a contract the start time could be different and you will only mine for a fraction of that day. Otherwise your miners will mine for you 24 hours and exactly act according to your settings (see "mining allocation").

At the end of the mining day we will do some additional calculations and double-checking to ensure everything is correct. About 8 hours later (max. 24 hours) you will receive payouts for each coin you have mined. Please ensure that you provide a payout address for each coin you mine, otherwise we cannot make the payout!

If you just bought your first contract it could potentially take up to 48 hours until you receive your first payment. If you did not get anything from us within 48 hours please contact our support team at contact@genesis-mining.com.

You can check your payouts also in the menu under "Transactions".

That was the payout you got yesterday on the 22nd for mining on the 21st.

Todays payout will be will be for what you mined on the 22nd.

Tomorrows payout will be for what you mined today, the 23rd.

It is why they are labelled as Mining Days.

ok so i got 1.4 via with 20 mhs? what the hell is up with these terrible payouts lately? i use multipools their payouts arent dropping at nearly the rate our payouts are here. i was getting the same payout with half the hash last month. this just makes no sense to me at all. especially because via is at 14000 sat. so if they are multipooling to btc then buying via i made what...16000 sat with 20 mhs? im no math genius but this doesnt add up.

Payouts dropped buy half during last month. I got 22505 sat with 20 GH/s yesterday. This agrees with dustcoint.com estimates (little less since the fee is subtracted). During first day of mining you may get less if you started at the end of the day.

What coins are you mining?

Its more than possible if you mine BTC auto, that not all mined coins are sold on moment of payment.
If so, you will get them in the next days.

For now i had no, abnormalities in payments  Smiley

Oh then I guess Genesismining is even more pathetic than myself.
All LTCgear threads are less than 50 pages in total and this thread alone is almost 100 pages already. And I heard them screaming. Just wonder how pathetic I am. Thanks. LOL
