Is it safe to buy on C-Cex and send to my wallet since there was a fork?

C-Cex seems to be on the same chain like the Supernode provided by the Devteam:
Super Node (if you need connection) : 107.170.140.210

I was sending some coins from my wallet to C-Cex and they got deposited without anyproblems.

If you want to be 100% safe, then you might want to wait for the devs comming back.

Berric. You ignored the most important questions.  I don't care if you close your pool but I do care if you run away with all the the coins that are valid (and there would be plenty of them).  Paying out those coins has NOTHING to do with what happened later.  Pay up mate.

Hi, I can not sync the wallet. How can I take away or payout the coin? If I delete the block data and sync to the "right" chain. How can I have so much coins pay it? If I snyc to the "right" chain. It'll lost many invalid coins. How can I do? I'm not go away. I said I still wait for dev's respond.

The most important thing i think right now is: Don't panic!!!

I bet you are not new to cryptocurrency and that you have seen some forks on other coins also. I saw the revival of "dead" coins, small coins, but which are haveing more buy/sell power now than before the bad thing happed to them.

I saw, that with a strong community, coins can become bigger and bigger.

have more than 12k coin stuck in 0feepool too ..

He replied and he didn't run away. Please be patient !!

Yes, some fork coins will work fine again. But, behide this, Many people lost there coins. Maybe you are in the right chain. You can take easy. How can I do? People choose our pool and it's forked. It doesn't matter who's fault for some people and they just know lost coins in my pool. If I choose the "right" chain. Where can I get coins to pay it? Your pool forked the coins and I became the sinner. I feel so said.

AGAIN I'm not go away. I'm waiting for dev's respond.

uh oh.  There might be a fork in the block chain.  0feepool and poolsofhonor are showing different block heights.

Today poolsofhonor get 1GH/s hashrate and 0feepool 0.1GH/s, I donn't know what happend in poolsofhonor. They take mostly hashrate and can fork it easily in theory.

I added a checkpoint at block 1834. Please recompile the wallet (save your wallet.dat for the pool) and restart. Sync to poolsofhonor only please to make sure you get the correct blockchain. We will have to recompile the Windows wallet to get things up and running smoothly for everyone else, but if you can do this, your pool's hashrate should be safe and everything should be just peachy in a few hours.

I just saw, the DEVs posted this night

Berric. I am glad that you are not going away and I have having experienced a few coin forks in my time. I understand that being on the wrong side of the fork is just bad luck and you where on the wrong fork. Shit happens. I don't expect to be paid for any coins mined on the wrong fork and neither should anyone else. That is unreasonable, it wasn't your fault and you should not pay for it.

Speak to the devs, re sync your pool. You will have a LOT of orphans but the earlier blocks should be OK.  Then all I ask is you either re open your pool and keep going or pay out everyone up to the time of the fork and close it.

Hi Guys, everyone, please follow these instructions:

Linux/Pools/Exchanges/Unix:

Re-clone the git repository. There is a hard fork repairing checkpoint at block 2700. Delete the files in /.vericoin/ besides wallet.dat and vericoin.conf. In vericoin.conf, make sure the supernode ip (107.170.140.210) is listed as an addnode=107.170.140.210.

Windows:

Vericoin 1.01 will be out very shortly. Please update immediately once it lands. This will put you back on the correct blockchain. Please go into your AppData folder located in C:\Windows\YourAccount\AppData\Roaming and navigate to the Vericoin folder. You can type this into your Windows Explorer bar "%appdata%\Vericoin" and it should take you there automatically. Then, you need to delete every file except wallet.dat and vericoin.conf. In Vericoin.conf, make sure you have the line addnode=107.170.140.210.

Please update immediately once the wallet is available for your system.

We are already over block 2740 on the PoH.

What to do?

It's a checkpoint for the correct (longest) blockchain.  2740 is ok.  Compiling new wallets now will pushing final 1.1 update to github in a few minutes then posting updated windows wallet to website.

What to do?

That's the right blockchain, don't worry. We have to use a block after the fork but before now because it takes time to compile and we wanted a round number. You're safe. Just update your pool wallet please.

Due to the fork fix, the PoH sent out a newsletter.

For anybody who has it on the spam folder, here is the newsletter again:

Quote
Hello miners,

as you might now the chain got forked. The Devteam gave us further instructions on how to deal with it.
And here are the steps:

1. set the pool in maintance mode
2. download the new wallet from github
3. recompile the wallet
4. add the supernode provided by VeriCoin devteam
5. let it resync again
6. start the pool

We think, the whole process could take about 15-30 minutes.

If you have any questions, feel free to email us at: poolsoh***gmail.com

Mandatory update for windows download here: http://www.vericoin.info/

It wasn't anyone's fault, a big multipool dropped out and left one pool with too much hashpower, it can happen in the early stages.  Update resolves blockchain conflict. Wink

PoH is back on track. Wallet hast been updated and some miner already returned to us.

Registrations remain closed.

Are there many miners from the US continent? I am planing about to create another PoH pool for Vericoin in order for spreading the hashrate even better.
