Hey guys, my windows wallet is stuck at 6659 blocks remaining.  I just downloaded it from main site today.  I've also sent coins to it, am I SOL?

Thanks

I'm going to try and find the conf file and use the new config

I went into the C: - Users - AppData - Roaming - Vericoin    Folder and deleted everything except the wallet.dat file.  I also kept the vericoin.conf file (text file)

vericoin.conf file:

addnode=supernode.vericoin.info
addnode=supernode2.vericoin.info
addnode=supernode3.vericoin.info
maxconnections=100
gen=0
irc=0

It appears to have WORKED!  Windows Wallet was downloaded today by the way.

Buy walls keep moving up a little more every few hours.

I don't think 6000 satoshi is unreasonable in the next few days. That would be 722K USD market cap.
About the same as other coins with such volume.

220 BTC volume in the last 24 hours

I was checking the poloniex trollbox this night. And i can tell: Only VRC comments. No space more for Nautilus or another coin, just VRC.

Ppl saying it will hit 3k satoshi by monday, for maybe growing to more than 15k.

2500 satoshi right now, nice price guys, keep it up.

Also this was the first community i played a more or less active role and i would like to tell you.

I rly enjoyed / enjoy being a part of that community. Most people are very friendly and are helping each other.

Congrats to everyone who came along with us through PoW, welcome to anyone who just joined us, we are doing great!

Now that we can't mine, there are two ways to get more VeriCoin:

Buy and Stake!

1. Buy!

You can buy at these exchanges, get them before you wish you did.

BITONYX
http://www.bitonyx.com/market/trade/VRC-BTC

BITTREX
https://www.bittrex.com/Market/?MarketName=BTC-VRC

C-CEX
https://c-cex.com/?p=vrc-btc&rf=08CAB0B01CBED626

ICURREX
https://www.icurrex.com/market/18

POLONIEX
https://poloniex.com/exchange/btc_vrc

2. Stake!

If everyone stakes most or all of their VeriCoin the interest earned will go up!

Let's take it to 2%!

Perhaps I am on drugs, but is anyone else stuck on block 20303.  I even set connect= to the 2 ip's listed in the first post to ensure I'm on the right chain.

thanks in advance Smiley

Still working around some old nodes, try keeping wallet.dat, but delete everything else in appdata\roaming\vericoin, this reloads the blockchain.

thx I did it yesterday to get where I am.  The only 2 nodes I am connected to are the the 2 IP's in the first thread.  I put connect= for both ip's right after I deleted every folder besides wallet.dat.  In theory I shouldn't have gotten bad info from any other node.  I will do it again though Smiley.

If you are having wallet issues - do you have vericoin.conf copied to your Roaming folder with addnodes included?

Personally have only had to reset my blockchain once and I've been moving coins around and staking as well for days...

Can you please post a sample Conf for me, I am having nothing but trouble with this wallet!   I have tried a few different conf's to no avail.

Gonna start once more from scratch then give up!!!

i have that for config, this also helped out other ppl (just the dev's supernodes)

Quote
addnode=107.170.99.191
addnode=107.170.140.210

Well thanks for that, got it working finally.
For anyone else who is having problems, I deleted everything except wallet.dat and downloaded the newest wallet from the OP.
Kicked that off then stopped it, wacked the wallet.dat and made a conf file with only the nodes posted above!!!

Finally got fully synced, HOORAY!

This worked for me!

Vericoin community,

I commend you on your successes, all seems to be moving in a positive direction and great opportunity lies ahead.

Just a word of warning, take the post Effectstocause offered to heart. STAKE!

As being POS only now, the network relies on people staking to process blocks, thus transmit/confirm transactions.

If people rush to exchanges with their holdings, the network will cease up and show vulnerability which is not good for anyone.

If you do intend to move coins to and fro, consider setting a "Reserve" value you can leave behind and stake in the wallet.

This may be done under your: Settings tab-Options-Main-Reserve and personally I don't recommend you reserve less than 20% your wallet value.

By setting a reserve value and maintaining a stake-able balance, the network may steam ahead through flurried rallies which are surely on the horizon.

All the best, good luck

I have been patient.
Even after getting on a bad fork and losing 25%  of my Bag.

I have received great assistance on this board and IRC.

However ---- The wallet problem continues to plague Vericoin.

I'm keeping 25% of the VRC I have left and selling the rest.

Good Luck Boys. I mean that.

Great Coin. Great ideas. But there's a Monkey in the wrench.

If U go to  the outer edge I'll be with U with a much reduced Bag

I Got the the CyptoCoin Blues over Vericoin.

It's the nature of this cyber universe Crypto folks dwell in, I know.

Doesn't make it any less frustrating and annoying
