I think I'm having the same problem.

Windows client crashes for me now as soon as it loads the current block chain. Deleting the block chain fixes it, but then downloading the blockchain causes it to crash as soon as it's completed, and trying to opening the client again on will crash on load. Reboot does nothing.

exactly what is happening to me  Cry

In testing and now I have had numerous windows wallets running without a hitch and have not seen this error. What version of windows are you running?

Any help?

After seeing this in the wallet and closing, the same error pops up on restart.

Hey guys, so part of the issue is that there's still a lot of people running the original wallet with a forked blockchain. Everyone needs to delete the original wallet and download the new one to connect properly. We didn't add version control to the new wallet so some wallets are accepting bad connections.

Delete your files besides wallet.dat in %appdata%/Vericoin. Restart with the good, new wallet.

To fully repair this problem we are going to release a new wallet that cannot connect to the old nodes tonight. Until then, your coins are safe as long as you have wallet.dat backed up, either now or once you get the new wallet tonight.

Get this error when trying to run the wallet after restoring backup of wallet

Any help?

After seeing this in the wallet and closing, the same error pops up on restart.

So it seems 2-3% of the wallets are experiencing this issue.  Working on a fix for this, I'll post it to the site tonight.  Your coins are not in danger if you don't delete your wallet.dat.  The network is solid and not forked.  If you have tried the things listed and still can't resolve the issue then wait for the update tonight.

Otherwise make sure you follow these steps first: http://www.reddit.com/r/vericoin/comments/258cnx/wallet_troubleshooting_tips/

Also you can try running with no vericoin.conf file and wait for a connection or only add this node: 107.170.140.210

Just to reiterate, both pools are currently running fine without any issue. The 0feepool still has its wallet, which works, and is working to distribute out all of the mined coins that are from before the fork in the blockchain.

Do not fear! effectsToCause, I, and the rest of the helpful people here are able to get through this.

There will be a new wallet ready to go for either tonight (EST) or tomorrow morning. It will be a mandatory update again but will have increased version control requirements blocking it from connecting to the bad blockchain (which is causing some issues still). Keep mining. Your wallet and coins are safe.

When synced the wallet crashes after a few seconds. I have updated the Vericoin.conf and removed all contents except wallet.dat

AppName: vericoin-qt.exe    AppVer: 1.0.5.0    ModName: vericoin-qt.exe
ModVer: 1.0.5.0    Offset: 0014e38c

Everyone with a crashing problem, please try this:

When synced the wallet crashes after a few seconds. I have updated the Vericoin.conf and removed all contents except wallet.dat

AppName: vericoin-qt.exe    AppVer: 1.0.5.0    ModName: vericoin-qt.exe
ModVer: 1.0.5.0    Offset: 0014e38c

Clear all but wallet.dat from your %appdata%/vericoin folder.

Download this bootstrap.dat file and put it in the same directory: https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B5mEp5uSIa6zU044YlNoaTZPWTg/edit

Then start the client. Let me know if it crashes on IRC: http://webchat.freenode.net/?channels=%23vericoin&uio=d4

Also, to the miners out there-- please sign up for the pool that has a lower hashrate.

So far so good.

Network hashrate seems to be more stabilized now.

We reopend the registrations on the First PoH again.

Please be so kind and try to spread the hash nearly to the same amount in order to stabilize the network.

If you see much hashing power at one pool, it would be nice if you could swap the pools (pools are the same from the settings, payouts etc.)

You could select the pool to your location:

Pool 1 is located in the US, New York  http://188.226.139.209/MPOS/public/

Pool 2 is located in the EU, Amsterdam http://107.170.153.128/MPOS/public/

We also added the "pool dropdown menu" so you can simply switch the pools homepage without the need of typeing the IPs or anything (domain name will come soon)

We, the PoH team are glad to be the host of the pools for such a nice coin!

Sorry man me and Rage are both on the US East coast

I might have missed it, but how long are the confirmations? Nevermind, remembered where to look.
