Its blue and says its staking. Network interest is - 2.2% network stake - 10759347 Expected time - 2 days
Running win764
Everything here is go, it just doesn't do what its meant to do for me.
Similar to what I have, yet mine says staking in 2 hours. And you leave it open and running 24/7 yes?

Even in the event that an attacker gains more than 50% of the network's
computational power, only transactions sent by the attacker could be
reversed or double-spent. The network would not be destroyed.

Not trying to be THAT guy, but CloakCoin just updated, TOR built-in, somewhat-centralized anonymous sending for now, trading through wallet, more features to come, and a developer that's active and constantly pushing out new stuff. I don't know what 'guy' you think you might be being but, 'uninformed' appears to fit. TOR capability is built in to all Bitcoin-based wallets. Just point your proxy setting to a local TOR session. As Pat already pointed out a while back for Razorcoin's attempted tech coup at marketing itself over a function that was anything but unique.

Mine says the same now, but yesterday it was saying "no mature coins" when i had a few thousand of them "staked" and a few thousand "spendable". (I had just bought new coins.) Now all are "spendable" and it looks like it is trying to stake them all again. I can assume it is working fine, but I should not have to wade through this forum to figure it out. (And be lambasted with insults in the process.) Being a programmer, I know the hardest thing to do is to step back and try to understand how the user interacts with your software. You are too familiar with it yourself to see it from their perspective - can't see the forest for the trees syndrome.

Okay, so I've got my VRC now... is it just a case of downloading and running the wallet, then transferring the coins to get interest? That's it? Leave the wallet open? (does it consume lots of bandwidth/resources then? ie is it silently mining or something?)

I love this coin, but let's be frank here about veribit for a second.
It's definitely not something you want to use when you intend to be anonymous. You're sending VRC from your wallet through a centralized service to make your payment. You can *never* rely on a centralized service for anonymity because you don't know what records they're keeping. Even if they tell you they aren't keeping any records, there's no way to know that's true.
Veribit is a handy feature, and one I could see myself using. But be aware that you can't depend on it preserving anonymity.

Make sure your wallet is open and it should work. If you are encrpyted, you will need to unlock that on the bottom right of your wallet. Check the VeriCoin logo to see if your staking, or what you need to do.

Does anyone know how to make a faucet? I'd like to start increasing awareness and the community size of VRC by doing a giveaway campaign on freevericoin.com.
Problem is right now I cannot find any to list and I don't have knowledge on how to make one currently. Can anyone set up a faucet, is it easy / hard / expensive?

That is why while using veribit, your transactions are always sent using verisend

It has gone from 12 to 38 in a few days. You have to expect volatility like this. Up and down. Yesterday you where happy when it dropped because you made money on it. Don't forget the big picture! I dont trade cryptos anymore, just develop websites. I get caught up in gambling and I usually lost my btc Im more interested in the technology than the next 5% move! We got such big release tonight. Keep your focus!

It's just that I am one of the poorest guys here and I hate to see such drops in value, who wouldn't. How ever I am not even thinking to sell my few vericoins for these prices!

Bought in at 18k . Im tempted to buy a lot more since its still dirt cheap but Ifeel there well be a panic sell so im waiting for that. This coin will be 2nd place by the end of the year been holding my money for a good investment in the last 3 months and I think I made a good decision.

do not forget DarkCoin cycle pumped all the way up to 65 million. So hard to judge a coin with 1/5 its coins out to another with full distribution aside from interest. Unlike a lot of other coins you are not buying into something with a big dilution model. I know from experience holding coins in high production would typically gradually move a coin price lower over time, especially if that coin is profitable to mine compared to others. You won't find that with VRC

Just remember folks, before you panic sell. The order book going all the way back up to 35k+ is pretty thin relatively. It could literally nap back in seconds. Always keep that in mind.
DRK 'crashed' pretty hard just before it went parabolic. Don't do something you're gonna regret.
