There are several different types of Bitcoin clients. The most secure are full nodes like Bitcoin Core, but full nodes are more resource-heavy, and they must do a lengthy initial syncing process. As a result, lightweight clients with somewhat less security are commonly used.

Yes saw that just now, only happened cause of testing few things today before new payment cycle/stat reset.

This isnt a worry Smiley

Basicly, trying to get the socks closing timings as accurate as possible so there wont be any more future issues with sockets killing the pool.

Well thats temporary, and <300 shares you cant expect any reasonable avg either. That said, you must have connected exactly at the time that I made multiple changes which I want to finish off by end of day so new payment cycle can start properly Smiley

If you are concerned then wait until tomorrow, eitherway this is still above 100% PPS whichever way the results go for today.

Does this mean cgminer disabled the pool for you automatically and then correctly re-enabled it? I need some in-the-field confirmation this code is working.

I cant verify just yet with absolute certainty but I have one test gpu connected 24/7 to the pool and across multiple resets of pool the miner is still connected. Going by that, I would have to guess the code works Smiley

I don't think this time the pool was disabled but I have had no miners being stuck on backup pools yet

I'm not panicking because my miners switched over to my backup pool, so no wonder the stats update Wink

p.s. Ckolivas: CGMiner disabled bonuspool because of 14 straight rejects.... now we have to wait and see if it gets enabled again when Clipse puts the pool back online

pool down?

seems to be back up for me, but the states page just displays my payout history, and nothing about the current hash rate or shares excepted. It also says no states found for me user name.

I just moved the old shares to unpaid, I will start the stats updater in next couple of minutes just doublechecking everything in order to go forward.

Since I havnt run update since moving old shares to unpaid, it will show your account as "not found" until I run the updater, just bit more patience please Cheesy

EDIT: still busy, will update this thread as soon as updater runs again.

EDIT: Stats updating again, will look into any issues tomorrow, still seeing higher stales than there should be for some users but need to deal with that when I wake up.

For the last couple of hours there seems to be huge routing issues between the different peeringlinks for many datacentres, our datacentre including softlayer and few others is causing some undesired results of dropped packets etc. on and off, this is not the pool crapping out but actually incoming/outgoing issues between the peering links.

Hopefully this will be resolved asap cause its making the stats look like crap :/

When I woke up this morning, the miners on which CGMiner had disabled the pool due to rejects for 3 mins, had NOT switched back to Bonuspool

So be aware that the new CGMiner version might leave you mining on a backup pool even if your main pool came back alive

Noticed that aswell, only good thing to come from this network messup.

UPDATE:

Everyone who applied please note that I did receive the PM and will send out the pool details most likely before end of tomorrow. I need to doublecheck few more things during the course of today to ensure adding more users wont mess things up.

Good larry-on-fire, when will the torture end.

So my datacentre acknowledged they have upstream peering link issues and working on resolution, they will update me in 30minutes or I will start loading my bazooka. Im so sorry you guys have to deal with this shit aswell, atleast the extra PPS would cover and some more but still its a terrible situation day-in and day-out and as soon as I resolve software-based issues  a datacentre seem to explode.
