no problems with my wallet
Would you mind going into the console and doing a getpeerinfo ? I can then take the IP's and make a config possibly. Has anyone tried to install the wallet with a clean image and not just an install over the top of the old wallet install?

There are three seed nodes, which are all currently functional, that are built into the wallet. It seems like something must be something blocking your connection to them? There's no version incompatibility between the last version that you must have been running (v1.0.1) and the latest rebranded MastCoin wallet (v1.1.0), so there shouldn't be any issue with multiple versions on the network, etc.
Well I'm running an Amazon EC2 instance which will not connect. The wallet has been allowed in the firewall. My Windows 8.1 machine is on a different IP and in no way affiliated with the EC2. Both will not connect, both have been allowed through firewall, and both have other coin wallets downloading and syncing as we speak. So it really seems as if there is something wrong. I am going to make a config now and see what happens. Would I name it Mast.conf or MastiffCoin.conf?

Hmm, I see what you're saying now. I installed a new MastCoin wallet onto a fresh directory and it wouldn't sync.

** EDIT: I know what the problem is.. the search/replace for rebranding MastiffCoin to MastCoin in the wallet must have removed the nodes - we'll fix that up and release an updated version soon, sorry for the trouble.

I created a MastiffCoin.conf file with the following nodes, and it sync'd right up though:

addnode=node1.mastiffcoin.com
addnode=node2.mastiffcoin.com
addnode=node3.mastiffcoin.com

We'll investigate why those nodes aren't being sync'd from automatically, because they're the built in seednodes and should work just fine.

To answer your second question, yes the datadir and conf file are under the MastiffCoin name by default to preserve backwards compatibility with existing wallets. Use MastiffCoin.conf by default and a datadir of MastiffCoin to keep backwards compatibility, but you can specify your own datadir and conf filename using commandline options if needed.
This worked perfect! One quick question, should it be setup stake=0, stake=1 or no stake in the .conf? I haven't dealt with this too much before but I want to make sure it syncs.

Transactions must be included in a block to be properly completed. When you send a transaction, it is broadcast to miners. Miners can then optionally include it in their next blocks. Miners will be more inclined to include your transaction if it has a higher transaction fee.

If you want to stake, you don't need anything in the conf file. If you want to disable staking, you would use staking=0 and/or set reservebalance=999999999

We already fixed the source on Github for both the MastiffCoin and MastCoin repositories, so if you're building from there you should be good to go - no conf file needed. We'll release a new Windows build as soon as possible, and the updated Mac wallet is expected to be released tomorrow.

In my case the getpeerinfo outpus was empty. So I created the MastiffCoin.conf file, with:
addnode=node1.mastiffcoin.com
addnode=node2.mastiffcoin.com
addnode=node3.mastiffcoin.com

and now it seems to be syncing. I have MastCoin version v1.1.0.0

Next week will be big for MAST, a lot of new things coming, this price is ridiculous...

For those who missed my post some pages ago :

- Can you imagine something where you don't need any online accounts on an exchange to trade ?
- Don't need to wait for deposit ? wait for withdrawal ?
- Don't need to always take care of not holding too much money into the exchange ?
- Don't need to wait until your order get filled ?

This is what the CoinRecycler will bring to the crypto world !

So yes, BTC into coin recycler would be a really nice thing, and even better, a way to sell your MAST for BTC through your wallet would also be big, but hey who wants to dump MAST  Grin

Adding MAST is a good way (and a new one) to send anonymous transactions MAST to MAST.

If you are in alt coins for some months, open your eyes and you will understand that after the anon hype the next big thing for every coins is to have some kind of buy/sell into the wallet, why ?

- Because it will allow people to be a lot more anonymous (no need of any online accounts where you put a password, email, phone number...)
- It will be a lot more secure (have you seen how many exchanges are running with customers money ? accounts hacked ? ...)
...

We have updated the source and the Windows wallet (https://s3-us-west-2.amazonaws.com/mastcoin/mastcoin-win.zip) with the corrected built-in supernodes. You should be fine if you download the newest version now.

I do think new coins should be added to the recycler on a regular basis .Just says 'next vote soon' every time i look on the website .I believe this to be an integral of Mast and one not to be ignored,We need a lot more coins on there to make an impact.

Big news everyone - we have completed Phase 1 of the wallet integration of CoinRecycler!

This initial release of the Phase 1 wallet integration of CoinRecycler will be source-only and will work via the commandline/RPC. For those of you that can't build from source, we'll also be publishing a short demonstration video.

We expect to complete Phase 2 of the wallet integration, which will include the graphical wallet elements, within a week.

Here's a countdown to the release -- less than 3 hours to go! Smiley

Great work devs,  and let the devs finish the integrated wallet, I am sure the devs have personal lives, there actually producing something which actually takes time, unlike most the other coins were they just come out with a whitepaper that takes 5 mins. once the integrated wallet is done, I am sure they have plans to add more coins to the coin recycler.

The Phase 1 wallet source code is now up at https://github.com/mastcoin/mastcoin/tree/coinrecycler-phase1!

To test it out, just build the wallet as normal, and run it like: MastCoind getdepositaddress <Coin> <MastCoinAddress>

(Note that you may need to install a libcurl development package to build the wallet, like libcurl4-openssl-dev on Debian/Ubuntu.)

<Coin> can be the symbol of any of the coins currently supported by CoinRecycler: DOGE, WC, CLOAK, CRYPT, or XLB.

<MastCoinAddress> just needs to be a valid MastCoin address.

We'll post a quick demonstration video of it in action shortly Smiley
