It seems the cryptsy wallet has been offline for maintenance for 3 days. No mention of it on their site though (unless you try to generate a deposit address).

Surely it can't be that hard for them to 'mark' a currency as offline rather than leave their customers wondering whats going on  Huh

So, anyone have any further thoughts on how many coins we should cut Casinocoin back to? Recently, we were discussing possibly going from 336 million to somewhere around 63 million. Anyone have anything they would like to add? I think we should probably plan on coordinating the release of the next updated client for possibly 4 - 6 weeks from now. Does this sound reasonable?

You know it's going to make the price go up. No new coins flowing in from the outside and hitting autosells. That horrible autosell feature is why the coin's price was run so low.

As asics become more widespread, the diff will eventually stabilize.

That sound like a good idea. Are you going to change block halving interval as well?

Thats the only way how to change total coin count without changing block value or block time.

Are there any exchanges that aren't under maintenance right now?  Whats the deal?

Checkout de list in the first post, but cryptsy has the most trading volume atm for casinocoins.

All of the exchanges in the first post are "down for maintenance"

Very strange.

You can also make blockchain stop accepting POW after height X is reached (like in BC), no?

Hmm ok, well, cryptsy is terribly slow, also sent two coin requests to bter.com and bittrex.com. Hopefully casinocoin gets added.

As asics become more widespread, the diff will eventually stabilize.

It's these ASICs that are causing the 100+Mh/s jumps in pools. Just one miner can do that on their own. Have seen jumps from 100 to 200 back to 10 in the same day. Fortunately I think the diff algo is working fine in accommodating these jumps. When the 300+Mh/s asics are out you will see even more dramatic jumps. Hopefully the new diff algo will continue to work as it has. I think Casinocoin fixed up the diff algo "in the nick of time" Smiley

Does anybody know who has that massive buy order for CSC over on Cryptsy?

It's been there for at least the 2 weeks I've been buying and it was 13 BTC at one point so the guy has bought at least ~4 BTC worth which is over 1 million CSC.

I'm just curious who would want to accumulate so much of just one particular coin.

You guys don't have any idea who it could be?

Yes, you can put in a hard cap and also change the halving rate. Thinking to target halving every 105k blocks. This is about once/year. If you guys are good with this, we can start planning to release this update in about 30 days. this should give everyone enough time to know it's coming.

Wink

I already have my 2.5 mil. Seriously, that guy is unlikely to fill. Somebody large would have to dump for him to get that number of coins.

Wow, 2.5 million is a good chunk.  I hope you mined that.

I agree, he won't fill which is why it's so odd.

It's almost like someone just wants a floor for CSC so it won't go any lower than 320.  But who does that?

Cause if his primary objective was accumulation he would be stealth about it.

I mined approximate 1/4 of them. The rest i purchased, but I'm not going to sell any until they are much higher than 0.001. There are a few others doing the same and this is partially why there is a shortage on the sell side.
