All 4 of the recent ones have question marks and look like that. But the 7 previous stakes had question marks for a while but have since confirmed.
Just got a 5th...

You're kidding, right? You expect every MMXIV holder to stay logged into your chat room 24/7 to monitor for news and updates? No, there are topics on there that link to the important replies of the thread. It's much easier to get ahold of anyone to help you through there. IRC has been around for like 20 years, it's not something new. Any coin that doesn't use it for live updates is really slacking There is also a bot where you can check multipool stats, as well blockchain information. IRC clients don't require a browser tab to be open There's usually 10-15 people in there that come and go throughout the day to get updates. It takes two seconds to log in and see if the topic has an update message. We are in there to answer any questions with no delay between replies like on the forum I recommend Hexchat if you are looking for a client. It helps to be in the exchange channels, too I guess it's beyond me. All I see is a chat window. I clicked on everything and didn't see any blockchain information. I didn't see any hashtags. I would say that any coin that doesn't use s 20 year old chat client is probably using something better. Like a blog, or website, or email subscription/push notification. Definitely not a silly 20 year old chat room...

Yes, definitely sounds like orphan blocks. As each block is found, blocks prior to that one should begin accumulating confirmations. The most recent block mined will always have zero confirmations, until the next block is produced, then the previous block will have one confirmation. When another block is mined, that first one will have two confirmations, and the second one will have one confirmation. One block = one confirmation for every block produced before that block. Sounds like your stake blocks are not confirming, which means they are orphans - abandoned blocks that are never committed to the blockchain. This basically confirms what I have been saying - no one has been generating stake for at least the past 3 days. I am guessing the 7 previous (confirmed) POS blocks you have were sometime on or before 8/16

Yep, 8/15 was the last successful stake.

We're going to take another look and see if we can tweak PoS to perform a little more predictably. This project is ongoing, we will always be doing our best to ensure things are running properly. Giving us actual numbers like you guys have tonight is what we need, not people calling it shit; that doesn't help anyone

I highly recommend removing POW entirely while you're at it. The coin is advertised as pure PoS but it's not - POW blocks keep getting in the way. Whoever was mining before is back at it - blocks are zooming by, putting the network even further ahead of schedule and delaying PoS even further.

Sorry for all the forks, but we want to make sure it is running at 100% as advertised If anything, it should show how dedicated we are to making sure this is done right WindowsGithub
Thanks for reporting errors with results instead of insults. That's how we all work together to get things fixed

Pool down for update?
Pool is back up. I'm going to take a hard look at it today to figure out why it keeps losing it's network (it's happened twice now). So, the pool may go down briefly for updates/fixes, but will be back up a few minutes after it goes down.

Oh, also a note on IRC. Yes, it's been around forever, and one of the best free global real-time communications tool around. I know of many FL/OSS projects that use it for users and dev's to exchange ideas, work on bugs, major issues, or just to shoot the shit about whatever.
MMXIV wasn't saying that you had to join to get updates, but it is one of the fastest ways to get info.
If you're using a stand-alone client (like Hexchat, mIRC, etc) the network you want to connect to is Freenode, and our channel is #MMXIV.

I don't get why you don't have an email subscription. That's just as fast and everyone who subscribes gets every notification with no effort on their part. You don't need real time communication because I would wager only a fraction of MMXIV users will be in the chat room at any one time anyway and will miss any important announcements.

this sounds crazy, has anyone an overview an can find out if the overall amound of coins is reduced by this amound? The coins could not have been going anywhere right?

The new wallent isn't synching. Assume this is expected and it won't synch until the fork takes place?

Same here, I have 7 active connections last block was 8 hours ago. It's only been running for about 20 minutes though.

No you should be synced up within seconds. I just loaded it up on a new rig and it connected/downloaded blockchain in about 2 mins total
Is it synced now?

TX is unconfirmed (orphaned) so no coins were actually lost. But yeah, it is pretty fucked up that you appear to be generating negative stake Hopefully the new wallet will take care of this!
