I just tested it and the downloads seem to be working fine at https://github.com/palmd/Hyper/releasesI would recommend downloading 1.5.2.1 as we are still beta testing the latest one at the top Just click on the green button and it should ask you to save the file automatically, save as, and then you need winrar to unzip the files. I was able to download on my phone, when I transferred it to the computer and unzipped it all I get is a .tmp file. So I figured it may be an issue with downloading on the phone. I used teamviewer logged into my computer at home downloaded the wallet then transferred to my computer here at my office and I still get the same .tmp file when I unzip. When I open it in 7zip it shows the Hyper-qt.exe file but that is not what I get when I unzip it. I finally figured out that Avast was blocking it for win32:Evo-gen, so I had to turn of Avast temporarly unzip it then add it to Avast's exclude list. So I have the wallet up and running now, syncing with network. That's unusual no one else has reported an anti-virus false positive with any of the HYPER wallets. You definitely downloaded the wallet from: https://github.com/palmd/Hyper/releases ? Please confirm ASAP where you downloaded the wallet from. All wallets have miners in them thats why antivirus reports them as virus. There is nothing to worry about.

A bit late now but AVAST thought it was a virus too, a couple of weeks ago.
Also HYPERFUTURE, any ETA for the MMO and/or Zandagort?
The MMO is a very long term project and it would be irresponsible for me to give an ETA on that at this time. At the moment focus is wallet development and core infrastructure, we have almost achieved enough to start focusing on the HYPER MMO instead soon! In regards to Zandagort we have been unable to contact the Russian hacker who gamed the system and made millions of SHY, we also do not have access to the logs of exactly what he did as the server did not keep a record, so we are deciding how to proceed with Zandagort. Of course anyone can play it right now at http://hyperzanda.com but we need to make sure it can't be hacked and gamed otherwise it will be unfair to those who play the game normally and trade this SHY for HYPER. One option is to enable HYPER / SHY trading as it is and just ban the IPs of hackers who try and earn more than SHY than normal. What do you think of this solution? Implementing HYPER / SHY trading is easy but I want it to be fair. Also we can have access to the logs in future and see exactly what the hacker does if he strikes again. Big HYPER update coming soon guys we have many, many exciting projects and HYPER was just added to http://coinpayments.net and is now accepted at over 9000 merchants worldwide. Our $100 steam game code competition is also going viral through twitter https://gleam.io/PqrS3/100-steam-code-giveaway

If it stays as it is, then if somebody games the system, just ban them.

Some kinda urgent stuff:
1) The Block explorer isn't loading for some of us, and it's kind of ugly. Can meowball or someone else design a "Hyper quality" block explorer? Think the community's at the size where we need one, it's fun checking our balances.
2) Downloaded the new beta Windows wallet, first Windows Defender warned me that the program might contain dangerous files. We shouldn't have this happening. Are we certain there's no viruses inside of this release? Then, a couple seconds after the loading screen appears, it says failed to open blkindex.dat and closes down. Does this every time, so I can't use it. Back to the old version for me for now unless someone has a workaround.
3) Sorry to hear one of the dev's is having family issues, but HYPER-only poker site was promised by now. If deposits/withdrawals are working, time to end the beta testing and allow people to deposit. This could be a very very big growth area for us!!!
4) Any updates on the redesigned web site? Theres a lot more public interest now let's give an awesome first impression!

1.) We have a backup block explorer I organized yesterday at http://blocks.luckyalt.com:3008/2.) Most crypto wallets give false positives in anti virus. Can certainly see if PalmDetroit our main wallet developer can solve this issue. PalmDetroit has been developing coins for years and I highly doubt he would include a virus in the release. What version did you upgrade from? Sounds like you might need to use the new bootstrap if you have an older version than 1.5.2.1. Instructions for upgrading (from OP): https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=624651.msg9748799#msg9748799 Please confirm ASAP if you were upgrading from earlier wallet than 1.5.2.1 (and then need the bootstrap) or if this is a legitimate issue we need to solve. 3.) The dev has put a lot of work into the Poker site. Considering the time vs HYPER bounty reward he is basically volunteering. Plus it is the holiday season have some patience! 4.) Website should have been done by now. As it is the holiday season I am having some patience myself but if I haven't heard back from the website dev within a week someone else will be doing it. Thanks

Thanks for the fast answer! Yes it's earlier than 1.5.2.1. so i'll give the bootstrap instructions a try. Some kinda urgent stuff:

It works now! Going to play with the new wallet later today looks beautiful, this thing puts bitcoin-qt and electrum to shame!!! Now if only we could get the wallet in front of more gamers' eyes, can someone post a video of the new wallet? I think this thing is so cool that just showing it off will get a lot of positive attention Thanks for the fast answer! Yes it's earlier than 1.5.2.1. so i'll give the bootstrap instructions a try. Re: beta wallet...
Ok, enough with the "just download the rar, unpack it, and run!!1!" bullshit. That is not how a software upgrade is done. Put it in a godsdamned installer already. The user should NEVER be faced with the prospect of two seperate "installed" wallets or having to search for %appdata%. Haven't y'all ever dealt with nontechnical folks? The idea of having to delete the old wallet software is enough to send many prospective users into hyperventilation.
Single file. Upgrade in place. And Windows should see it in the add/remove programs list.
This is basic UI 101 stuff and we should set some standards now, while it's early.

Even better is an autoupdater, or at least a box that confirms you want to and does it automatically.

Sure. do you want to donate some HYPER so we can fund one click installs and auto upgrades? These things cost money and time. After people are on the new wallets (1.5.2.1 and above) there is no need in future to go to %appdata% folder. That is only necessary the first time people upgrade to either 1.5.2.1 or 1.5.3.1 as there is a new format for the blockchain which is why the bootstrap is needed. New users don't even need to do this at all they can just download and run the wallet they want. Using %appdata% is a one-off the first time people upgrade to the new 1.5.2.1 or 1.5.3.1 versions. After that it really is unpack, click and go which is even faster than having a full blown bloatware windows installer.
We have tried to make it as simple as we can with the budget we are working with but we will take your feedback on board. Constructive feedback is always taken on board. Thanks!
