I have used to bootstrap which proved to be faster (it is ~60% of the whole Blockchain). However.. I'm still 64 days behind the entire blockchain.. I'm using a 100 mb/s internet connection, how long would it take to sync? As for the twitter contest.. I will be joining soon. I hope to win some HYPER. Already bought some from Bittrex few days back. If you are using the latest wallet version it should only take 6 hours or so to fully sync  64 days behind is really not that much in a coin that is a year old. Good luck with the competitions! The other way to earn HYPER is on all the game servers listed above. Six hours? It should take me probably 2 days to full sync it. Anyway, tweeted for the first retweet contest. Well it was 6 hours about a month ago. Maybe it will take a little longer now let's see |

Hello,
Need some help setting up Hyper Coin mining. I've read the wiki and the coin's website, but there is a lack of info for a beginner like myself. I am running Windows 7.
So far:
1. Successfully downloaded the wallet
2. Couldn't get bootstrap to work (out of sync error), so got rid of it
3. Wallet successfully updated block chains over 24 hours
4. Signed up for an account at coin king
Questions:
1. Where do I find my wallet number
2. What do I need to do in my coin king account to start mining hyper coins?
3. Do I need to do anything in my wallet to enable mining
4. Do I need to encrypt my wallet or do anything to protect my wallet?

1. In your Hyper wallet, click Receive, it will show your wallet address. Highlight the address and click Copy Address to copy to your clipboard. 2. You should not need to do anything in the Coin King account, just use your Hyper address as your username when setting up your miner. Click on the Start Mining link on the Coin King site for information on setting up you mining rig or viewing you mining stats by Hyper wallet address. 3. Your wallet is ready to accept payouts from Coin King. Once you reach the 100 coin payout threshold and they convert your mining to coins, you should see the coins added to your wallet balance. 4. Encrypting your wallet is always a good idea. Once you do encrypt it and you have some coins mature enough to stake, you will need to "Unlock Wallet for POS" (under the wallet tab) to stake/mint/earn interest on you balance. |

The previous version of the wallet gave a warning message that staking was suspended due to the wallet being locked. I just assumed when I saw the red lock onscreen it would act the same if not unlocked. Which leads me to ask, and perhaps I'm being a little too obtuse, what does the Unlock Wallet for POS option if not unlock the wallet for staking? |

If the padlock is red you are not staking. I will contact PalmDetroit the windows wallet dev to 100% confirm this. Myself I have NEVER staked while the wallet is locked. Cryptographic Algorithm Scrypt Algorithm is Scrypt but HYPER is 100% proof of stake now. However the algorithm used is still Scrypt. HYPER can be mined at the multipool at http://coinking.ioI'm going to be in the HYPER office all day tomorrow making progress on all our plans! It has come to my attention that Rust the game no longer supports Linux servers, which is why it probably went down. Talk about lack of support for a game  At this stage we probably don't have the funds to hire a windows server for Rust ontop of all our other expenses. If anyone has a spare windows server let me know maybe we can set it up again on your server! Our main game admin Ignatius is happy to run a Rust server if we can sort out the hosting Ignatius has paid out all previous winners of the monthly blitz and the next round is launching when he resets the stats.
