Hi all!
I need help guys! I have "Error loading blkindex.dat" message (after bsod) when my wallet is started. What should I do now?
Why so slow there is a synchronization of the wallet? 24h with 100MB network.

Sorry to hear that. What version of the wallet are you using? Have you recently upgraded to a newer version of the wallet?

Please feel free to send me a PM with more info so I can solve your problem. Usually, that error appears if you have upgraded to a newer version of the HYPER wallet, but you have not upgraded to the new compressed version of the blockchain the newer wallets use.

I have 1.5.3.2 wallet for windows (w64). New wallet not synchronized yet. On 50% synchronysation (12h) i got BSOD (it does this fu...g motherboard when the computer is heavily loaded, the wallet is a victim). After this bsod the wallet did not started.
Maybe download somewhere reliable blockchain?

I had a similar problem with Coin2 wallet with the blkindex corrupting itself while trying to sync. To fix this I just redownloaded the entire blockchain using the bootstrap and it fixed the problem.

This may or may not be your case, just a solution to mine.

Hi guys, can anyone help? I had an issue w/ the new mac wallet; the consensus solution seemed to be run it on a pc.  I downloaded the pc wallet but when I try to import my wallet.dat file from USB the pc can't find it.  Any ideas?  Thanks.

You got the wallet.dat file from the USB onto the computer? Or you can't even see it on the USB drive when you plug it in?

I don't know if you can import the wallet from a USB drive, without putting the file on the computer. But I know when you put it on the computer, you have to put it in a special folder.

I believe it's \YourUserName\Appdata\Roaming\Hyper on Windows. Also the roaming folder might be hidden.

So, I thought you had to copy the wallet.dat file into that folder above, (the wallet shouldn't be running when you do that, you have to start it up after you move the file there to load those addresses). If the wallet.dat file on the computer was ever used, you should do a backup before overwriting it, but I think you're using a new wallet right now with a balance of 0.

If I'm wrong, someone else can say so. I've never used a wallet.dat file on a USB before, so I don't know.

Sorry I didnt get a model update in last night, kinda got tired and passed out, but anyway here is the update today. Seems to be alot tougher going by an actual image rather than making things up as I go.

Firstly close the HYPER wallet.

You then need to search for your %appdata% folder in Windows search (search for %appdata%) and then open the "Roaming" folder and then open the "Hyper" folder. Here, you need to paste your wallet.dat backup directly into the Hyper roaming folder. If you have Hyper on the wallet.dat in your Hyper folder make sure to back up that wallet.dat first as well, before you paste in your wallet.dat backup with your coins.

There can only ever be 1 wallet.dat in your Hyper folder, and this is where your coins are kept.

Then just open your HYPER wallet and you will now have your coins This is how you restore your Hyper wallet from a backup of your wallet.dat
