I saw 18k XC coins get dumped on Mintpal at 200k just after Chaeplin got the correct sender address.

This is a professional pump group they are using news in this thread and the sensitivity of coin holders to spook the market.

or maybe someone expected the price to drop and was acting accordingly.

On Polo someone even accused our dev of being involved and having secret IRC chat on Tor.. haha nuts..

I don`t think that is true. If the dev wanted more coins he could have bought as much as he wanted when the price was very low on Poloniex.

If anything pumps and dumps on XC harm the reputation of the coin and make it take longer to gain more trust and acceptance which is not what any developer wants.

The pump group usually encourage people in the troll box to follow their lead so this is likely just a fake accusation to make themselves look important. Once they begin a pump they will start telling the trollbox to pump. And just after they finished dumping all their coins they will start telling the trollbox to dump too.

Usually the dump is started by 1-2 leaders of the pump group then they tell the IRC channel who get the second chance at dumping, by the time the news hits the troll box the price is already way down. I think the fudding on the forum comes just as the price hits bottom to make it go as low as possible so they can buy it up cheap.

Of course the trust system will be scrutinized.. but the technology is based on several concepts, one of which is "Web of Trust" - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Web_of_trust, the bottom line is that the wallet won't send money to untrusted nodes

I'm a little confused.  As a technically challenged crypto holder, are you saying it is possible that coins can be stolen? Just like people, someone you trust today, may be untrustworthy tomorrow. Is it the same for Xnodes?

Just want to ask (i'm a bit curious) . How much they pay people to troll ?? = 10 usd /hour , 100 usd/hour ? is it a part time job ?? or full time job Smiley

I'm not a troll you idiot.  I probably have 50x the amount of XC you have.

Idiot ?? Oh thank you  darling i love you too !! you have 50x the amount of btc (or xc = i'm confused) than me ? lol Wink do you want me to answer you from my hammam or from my yacht ? Wink = one answer = va te faire enculer = va fanculo stronzo !! My my respect aghioul ! Nazderovia

or maybe someone expected the price to drop and was acting accordingly.

18k coins is a big risk for just swing trading. Unless you have a group of friends helping you co-ordinate sell and buy orders. They make money off the wedge curves too for sure.

People in this crypto community are really price sensitive. I think the majority of people trading crypto do not know for sure which coins are worth buying and just follow price signals and noise in the forums.

I made a really long post in this thread about the fundamental concepts of why XC will succeed and only one person cared enough to reply. Yet if the price was on a rally or near a ATH people would be talking about these things enthusiastically with their `new found` faith in XC. It is kind of pathetic really.

Lol, congrats. You can tell me off in many languages, but you still haven't answered my question about the nodes.  Sure, I wouldn't mind you telling me how much XC you have from your...yacht.  Go ahead.

You can reach the forum @ forum.xctalk.com , all users who asked have been validated.

Excellent - Great work guys  Cheesy

Can you update the URL in the forum settings to forum.xctalk.com now, currently it reverts back to the IP address whenever you use a link. Also HTTPS is kind of a must!

Updated, I will work on POS HTTPS now.

As I could understand... there will be a system that detects malisious Xnodes and exclude them in the path...
but it is not yet implemented in this Rev1, I tought it will be implemented in Rev2

How does the system know an Xnode is malicious beforehand?  Is there a non-technical explanation of this somewhere?  If not, there should be.

Hi,

I've been lurking in this thread since just before the peak when i bought about 500 XC. I have high hopes for this coin and have been constantly refreshing both this thread, the uncensorred thread all day and night and following constantly.

May I suggest that after the next release there is a bounty for finding the sending address and showing a link between sending and receiving adresses. Maybe send out a few other transactions for the same amount to other addresses at the same time to make guesswork harder.

This test was just "find the sending address". As it stands I think chaeplin deserves the bountry.

ah, so this is a good point, basically chaeplin guess'd the address's but could not document the link on blockchain (as it doesn't exist), so its a win-win in my book

I think that the bounty for documenting the link on the blockchain still exists..

guessed or no guess if he can find sender address then anon is still not work, even with no link.
