The SharedCoin and CoinJoin programs are not as safe as you think, according to Kristov Atlas

Atlas, a well-known security researcher, published an advisory outlining the issue.

He says SharedCoin, a privacy service provided by Blockchain.info, "offers only limited privacy to users due to weaknesses in its design." Bitcoin users should carefully consider their privacy requirements and evaluate other mixing services if they require serious privacy guarantees.

And he's created a new tool to prove it.

CoinJoin Sudoku allows a user to match ingoing and outgoing payment amounts, which makes it much easier to discover who is sending funds to whom over SharedCoin.

Atlas plans to release CoinJoin Sudoku in two weeks' time, to allow users enough of a chance to move their funds out of SharedCoin and CoinJoin into a more secure and private location.

Blockchain.info has stated that SharedCoin is only designed to protect users from what they call "casual observers", and someone with technical knowledge and determination could still discover your identity.

Kristov Atlas is the author of the book Anonymous Bitcoin, and was recently featured on a video segment with Glenn Beck talking about the merits of Bitcoin.

He still never mentions XC in His Program on youtube, just once last time saying that does not trust it, but did not sayd anything about it in a technical matter.......................He seem to be advertising manero and bytecoin a lot though. This 2 coins are good.

If XC is better than DRK, so Dark devs will take some functions from XC. If DRK is better so XC will take some functions from DRK.

At the moment i think is good to invest into XC & DRK, the futur of this coins depend from community and merchants.
