So FIMK is list in Coinmarketcap and coinmarketcap shows now, change of 1h and 7 days, and all coins in one list, low volume list is closed^^

There is an efforts underway to provide coinmarketcap.com with the missing details to have FIMK listed properly.

Second i have a  newbie question, excuse my bad english xD
The question : When i´am logged out of my account and my pc is don`t running, i can forge. How this works ?

You can forge when logged out of your account, but you will have to have a FIMK client (NRS) running which is connected to the internet, e.g. a VPS or Raspberry PI or similar.

If you are using fimk.fi wallet - yes. But there is no connection. Server part is just running and forging by itself using your passphrase.

If it runs on localhost, it will not be forging when you computer is in a sleep mode.
But it will, if you just log out from the client, and keep server part running.

I purchased my FIMK via dgex.com and I've now downloaded the browser web wallet; so next step presumably is to go to https://wallet.fimk.fi:7886/, click on Returning User?, enter the passphrase for my FIMK account, as set out in my dgex.com back office, wait for the blockchain to download and start forging.

Is that it or have I missed a step?

Thought I should check first.

TIA  Smiley

You should download and run the wallet on your own machine. You seem to say you did that. I would trust the web wallet is forging for me.

If you downloaded the wallet and ran that run.bat you should browse to localhost:7886 and login. You should see your wallet. From there you can "logout" and keep the wallet running on your PC and you will be forging.

thanks - I downloaded the wallet, ran the bat file, waited for the console to show that the FIM server had started successfully and then as you suggested browsed to localhost:7886 to log in but got a Problem loading page message. I then  browsed to https://wallet.fimk.fi:7886
put in my passphrase as per the info on the FIMK stakeholder donation escrow page in my dgex.com account and instead of the FIM  account number assigned to me got a new account with zero balance in it.

Clearly I'm doing something wrong here but don't know what - any further help much appreciated . thanks

did you remember to add a space (spacebar) after your passphrase?

EDIT:  the spacebar pertains only to the DGEX generated passphrases

Are you adding a space to your dgex passphrase?

What did the console say? Are you on windows?

What was the full error when you tried to browse to localhost:7886?

(oh and what everyone else said about your dgex assigned password ending with a space)

Thanks for the replies -

from memory the last message on the console stated that FIM server 0.2.2 based on NXT 1.1.5 started successfully

I run Windows

The error message when I tried to browse to http://www.localhost.com:7886/ was

Quote
Server not found

Firefox can't find the server at www.localhost.com.

I hadn't realised I needed to add a space to my passphrase which I've now done and accessed my a/c OK via https://wallet.fimk.fi:7886

Thanks again  Smiley

It must be http://localhost:7886/, without 'www' and '.com' for local access.

well there you go. There is no www.localhost.com. Literally go to, type in the URL, localhost:7886 in your browser!

Hey, you beat me to it. They should add a .htm in the zip so people can just double click on it.

Thanks Vincent

that is good to know.

Actually i don't know how to make use of aliases but i see other accounts link up with the genesis block per alias and seem to forge well.
Don't know if the alias matters though.

I fell that i am forging quite slow often times.
There are 40 peers half of them appear green (working)
but halve of them show the orange cross.

Is it possible to improve connectivity with those peers or invite others that are working?

Good luck to all!

The idea of this client-server model is that a server part could run anywhere. At your home, work or some rented computer. So it is accessed through IP address which could be any.
It is just used to alias local computer's IP as 'localhost' Smiley

I know. But, I think most people will access it on the PC they run it on. They won't access it from another PC on their network. And, for those that do, they won't be clicking on the wallet.htm file.

So, for a person that doesn't really know what localhost is and tries to browser to localhost.com or whatever this will alleviate their problem.

1. Download
2. Unzip
3. Double click run.bat
4. Double click wallet.htm which redirects to localhost:7886

FIMK has been No.7 in bter voting. Maybe we can soon exchange FIMK on bter.

https://bter.com/voting

Already No. 5  Grin Hopefully we'll see more exchanges trading FIMK.
Forging blocks are quite funny and what i have understood, devs are creating new Exchange for FIMK and it will launch soon!

No.4 now
