Is online wallet working? The wallet address is displayed as a list of words and it says that I have undefined piggycoins in my Piggybank.

With the recent uptick in value as well as trade volume may I recruit as many fellow piglets as possible to please request the reinstatement of PIGGY on https://poloniex.com/coinRequest.

Can you help me please? After block 532107 I'm without connection again. I used nodes OP provided. My conf looks like this.

Get rid of the last connect directive, it overrides all of the addnodes and says only connect to that one.

I modified the conf file as you said but it is still the same - I have 7 active connections, but new blocks don't get downloaded anymore, so it's stuck at block 1219030 (70.18%) for a while now.

Hi all, there has been a recent increase in requests for coin swaps once again, I suspect this correlates with the recent upswing in PIGGY value and want to reiterate that any and all coin swaps by the New Piggy Team have come to an end and did so the 12th of July 2015 per https://www.piggy-coin.com/swap-period-ending/.

What concerns me is the tone of these requests, in that the requesters are very passionate that they are still owed a swap of their coins. There seems to be little responsibility being taken on the part of the investor's in the ongoing housekeeping of their investment(s). Now although the tone of these requests has not gone beyond that of entitlement, I want to express my concern as I must admit I have been caught off-guard given that swaps should have been a closed case from over 2 years now.

So at this stage I am giving notice that I will no longer be responding in any manner to swap requests in private or PM, and that any further discussion (if had) should be in a public forum (here is best IMO).

I modified the conf file as you said but it is still the same - I have 7 active connections, but new blocks don't get downloaded anymore, so it's stuck at block 1219030 (70.18%) for a while now.

7 is not that many connections given the present network size. Please insure your firewall is allowing other nodes to connect to you on port 54481.

With the recent uptick in value as well as trade volume may I recruit as many fellow piglets as possible to please request the reinstatement of PIGGY on https://poloniex.com/coinRequest.

#Oink!

Can you help me please? After block 532107 I'm without connection again. I used nodes OP provided. My conf looks like this.

rpcuser=user
rpcpassword=pass
port=54481
rpcport=54480
rpcallowip=127.0.0.1
daemon=1

addnode=97.64.214.229
addnode=98.224.241.45
connect=192.210.139.104

Get rid of the last connect directive, it overrides all of the addnodes and says only connect to that one.

Thanks it works. I will submit to poloniex.

Disabling firewall changed nothing, so I still can't sync my wallet. Maybe someone could upload the current blockchain? It would be much appreciated.

Check the ANN or cryptochainer.com (not an endorsement).

Neurocis,

Are you the only active Piggy Team member? What happened to the others? We need a much stronger Social Media presence and news updates if you want to see Piggy really excel and be a part of the future!

This coin could revolutionize the Education system as we know it and schools in general. We always hear about School Budgets, wouldn't be the case anymore if Piggy Coin is implemented and used properly amongst the education system. Decentralization at its finest.

You may be hearing crickets, but rest assured I want to give this the thoughtful response it deserves. Please bear with me.

Thanks.

Thank you so so much for the reply! Being the Software developer and seemingly only active member on the team, at least at this very moment, I am sure you have masses of work to take care of. Will definitely bear with and keep HODLing my Piggy. Smiley

So to answer your question directly, yes it looks I am the only regularly active member of the team, with greenmo being as active as RL permits at this time. The rest of the team simply moved on to other endeavors, greener pastures. One must realize that PIGGY was released just after the mtGox collapse and faced a couple of bullish years right from the start. Given the lack of value in the coin it was never able to reward it's team as it should.I agree a stronger Social Media presence is needed, but marketing & promotion is not my thing, and all of these positions should be hired and compensated by the project IMHO.

PIGGY is at a critical point in its life. Even though it's just turned 4, it's old, 2 generations old, and IMO in order to survive it needs a DNA transplant.

So ...

In surveying the landscape, looking at resources (me part time and a part-part time person), what should we do, what is a roadmap which insures PIGGY for another 5 - 10 years? This is my proposition, and assumptions ...

Firstly, it makes no sense to market a coin which is based on aged technology.
Secondly, "fixing" PIGGY will take approximately 480 hours of effort, and still eave it as an 1st generation blockchain.
Thirdly, there is no mechanism within PIGGY to sustain ongoing development once the team funds are exhausted (29.8 million PIGGY at present).

So ... PIGGY is dead, but ... Long live PIGGY!!!

This is my proposition as steward by default of PIGGY:

- We jump ship to a 2nd or 3rd generation blockchain technology.
- We do so by use of a snapshot hard fork.
- We preserve all assets and associate cryptographic claims to those assets in the new chain.
- We facilitate this transition by offering a bounty.

With the above objectives in mind it is my desire to:

- Officially announce a 10 million PIGGY bounty to facilitate this change.
- Write a detailed specification outlining deliverables to claim said bounty.
- Suggest the path of least resistance.

I am going to leave this discussion at this point prior to finalizing details of the three points above. Further I wish to disclose it is my full intention, upon peer review, to claim this bounty and once the details are finalized begin development.

 My comment: Build on top of another network like Stellar? My vote goes to Stellar if so.  Wink
- We preserve all assets and associate cryptographic claims to those assets in the new chain.
The coins we have now, will be carried over to the new coin?

Will the principle of the coin remain the same and geared toward children? This will essentially be another relaunched of the same coin just on a newer platform?
