The reason, I'm still buying at this prices, is extremely low POS reward (inflation), even though it was an accident  Grin, and of course the developer (piggycoin)  Smiley.Just now someone dumped 1.5m coins into my orders at poloniex.
Heheh, actually that was me (was in a rush to raise funds for a Reddcoin arbitrage/pump). Don't worry, I'll be buying back in myself. Wink

I hate to sound like a broken record, but getting the online piggybank working should be a priority. Hard to speak highly of a coin when its website is broken in a key function. Then, develop the banking function so parents can use it to easily and conveniently pay kids for doing chores, getting good grades and so forth. Getting families actually using it will be a big step forward, as will developing educational programs that use it in schools.
Broken POS is not a good feature or anything like it. Basically all it means is that the coin was so hastily coded that one of the primary aspects of the currency doesn't work right, and what's more it still hasn't been fixed (even though it's been a known problem for more than a month now). Why does this matter? Well, if there's no intrinsic reward for holding PIGGY (e.g. you don't actually get any noteworthy increase in holdings due to staking), the only thing that can possibly drive the price up is people wanting in. But why would they want in on a coin where the 15% PoS is broken -- e.g. if PoS interest is broken, what else might break?

All the people talking about how the community needs to not let this coin die... well, all that's doing is asking for someone else to pump the coin. And we all know what follows the pumping: the dumping.

As others have said, make the coin actually stand out from the other alt-coins and you will have something potentially worth holding. There are over 400 alt-coins these days, and many have all of the features of PIGGY plus additional features that PIGGY is lacking. Saying a coin is an educational coin is not the same as creating an educational coin.

Of course, the only education you're actually likely to get from cryptocurrencies is how speculative investments work, what it means when a coin gets pumped, and how it feels to be a bag holder. You can go do that with literally every cryptocurrency, of course: just go by a bunch of the latest flavor of the week (ViaCoin or ConcealCoin, maybe?) and watch how long it takes for a $1000 investment to turn into $100!

It's not too bad.  Dev says the interest will rise to 15% over the course of a year.  We'd need a hard fork to change that, so maybe better just to wait and let it be.

(15% is a little too much in my opinion anyway, but it would require a hard fork to change that too.)

Sorry for not posting here but im in a music festival and bitcointalk is not very mobile friendly.. hoped you guys liked today announcement.  Ill be looking into new ways of integrating it with the services we already have Smiley

stay tuned for tomorrow's announcement!

If you are piggy coin dev you need to comunicate more. There are strong hopes about the coin but we need plan for future and informations and giveaway and goal.

We can help you and do a lot but we need to have information and you need to comunicate here on the forum its the best way with twitter.

You can send news to big player like coin rocked, fontas, real fontas, ect we need some move to do a big piggy week.

The launch of piggy week was really bad today im honnest nearly nobody hearded about it. The ann is good but again comunicate is the important word.

The price will go up the community will follow there will be pump and dump there will be life.

Do a big price giveaway for example. if the price go to 50 satoshis 2 000 000 giveaway if its 100 satoshis 5 000 000 give away ect.

We can also retribute people to vote on mintpal for example 30 piggy per vote or something like that.

PLease answer to my post and say what you think about it.

This right there is a problem. For anyone who didnt see that, piggydev seems to be the aegisdev, which was a total scam.

1. What do you mean?  Do you have a link?
2. I didn't build piggycoin, yet I was posting with the piggycoin account yesterday.

1. look at my quote 3 post above. It looks to me he accidentically posted here with the wrong account. The original post was deleted.
2. How did you do that?

1. I see.  I don't know about that.  I'll let piggydev answer that if he chooses to.
2. I'm working on the newly-expanded PiggyCoin team, to improve communications and such.

Now is a good time for people to get back in to Piggycoin whilst the price is low.

It seems people were disappointed with releases during Piggyweek, however I know that there's developments in the making which will take Piggy mainstream and into the hands of parents and children alike, giving it an appeal not really seen in other cryptos.

I would like to have my question answered first. The piggydev was pretty creative, which was something I really liked. Until he explains his connection to aegis and why he posted with this account here after the ags launch, I wouldnt buy one single coin.

PIG/PIGGY has been around for a while. If there was anything scammy to it, it would have come out by now.

No, it really doesnt. Actually I was really surprised when I saw this, and I am totally willing to excuse if I am wrong but the question remains:

If he just build aegis, why was he posting here with the aegis accouint four days after aegis was launched and deleted his post afterwards? I am totally ok with him building other coins, but I need an explanation for this (you can see that a few posts above, luckily someone quoted him and I reposted it).

I guess I'm not getting why this is significant (slightly interesting, but nothing more IMO). IIRC, he said he was at a music festival or something and was using his phone; perhaps he logged in once in the past with the phone using the aegis account and it just defaulted to that and he wasn't thinking about it. This is all speculation on my part, but I'm seeing only the slightest indication of anything sinister in it. We can't be jumping at every shadow that crosses our path.

I can confirm that he was at the music festival.  About a month before today, he told me he was going to be really busy and needed to attend some kind of festival.  I have the PM if anyone needs to see.

I guess we just disagree on the significant part. But this is all speculation now, we should wait and give the dev the chance to explain it.

Hello All im Tomoto member of piggy team.

With few members including the dev we are working on the coin each day more.

We are thinking about project, about presentation about comunication.

If you look the first page of this thread you must see some changes since one week.

I will work on the presentation in bitcoin talk, on facebook on reddit and some other way of comunication.

Dont think dev is a scammer, he is working on the wallet and other projects you will see in fews days/weeks, he is not more alone, we are helping him, we just need time to get organized.

The price is still low to get in, i will buy more cause i support this coin.

Dont worrie, just need a bit of patience.

IF you have some skill and want to participate in team, send me a pm.

Thanks
