Short answer: no what happened was it just successful fud Yes, and lies spread that the devs dumped, but you can still see their wallets up there and increasing. They are taking advantage of the bargain/steal.

Many fuders were here for days and they all got screwed especially the darkers who right now facing a great loss (bad things happens to bad people). A mintpal account hack had cost a 100 btc dump on cloak. But after all, #CloakStrong This is not a short term pump and dump (what have actually take place in exchanges) this is alive and is going to be a game changer. POSA confirmed as a a truly anonymous. After all, which coin is a truly anonymous proof of stake so far? And there's more to come

damn whats happened was this a scam
Short answer: no what happened was it just successful fud One reason why prices exploded was a pump&dump scheme that was orchestrated through Bobsurplus and the people round him (and probably other P&D traders). TheDagger refers to this in his latest information. Of course, some people assumed a dev conspiracy. Fact is, Bobsurplus "admited" that it was him and the people who follow him to make money manipulating the price on Cloak. The scheme was described here and you should particularly look at the post that was later on deleted by Bobsurplus ( https://i.imgur.com/fH1wLOs.png) where he talks about price manipulation. I personally don´t think that the fact that this kind of things are done in Crypto because people want to make quick BTCs makes this kind of scam more legitimate, but we have to deal with the situation that pumpers & dumpers are around and are looking out for your money short-term. So, if you bought in high, that may be really painful for you because it may take much longer until your initial investment pays back (if ever), but you can see from the past that every coin gets this pumps, not all survive but promising projects have the potential to reach new heights. Look at BTC - it was pumped to 30$ and then fell back to 50cts. Obviously many people made quick money short term and certainly not all of them held their BTC to profit from values above 100 or 500 $. If people want a project like this to succeed they need to stop thinking short-term - even if others do. One fortunate fact when prospect is bad is, that at least a larger part of day-traders left the boat. This leaves the developers and us as community with time to work on project to create a stronger foundation. Also, people should join cloaktalk.org, because it serves much better to discuss on the future of this coin.

And we are going back to 50K. Exactly. Many people panicked, can't blame them. But it is still time for them to jump on the train since the price is 30K atm.

I believe DRK and XC have the same "startup" issues, they are not trustless. However, the developers of these coins didn't came out and tell people - and have not been audited yet. Somehow this news (and let's not forget the fudsters out there ) have probably caused the fall. I do believe we could expect a quick rise to at least 50k before friday. This is a personal opinion ofcourse .

i just read the audit. it says the anon function is not trustless could that have been the reason for its fall
while the failed audit is not a good news, this is important part:
"PoSA v1 is a fully anonymous system according to our audit, but it is not trustless.
It requires the active participation of nodes involved in the transaction. ............This is trust, like masternodes, and we don’t want it in our system."
so, the coin is fully functioning anon, but not trustless - just like other anon coins. BUT they want it to be fully trustless, that is why they had the audit and continue to work on it.

Yeah I think a roadmap is definitely needed. I also think cloak needs some one to be a spokesperson, a public face that people can hold to account as way too many people have been scammed or maybe at least get verified by that cryptoasian guy

Yeah I get that, It just seems on of the big criticisms is the anon devs personally I don't have an issue but many do, a public spokesperson wouldn't go astray especially in the rebuilding phase we have ahead. I guess the hard part is finding someone with a good rep that the devs trust to keep their identity and is knowledgable enough to answer the hard questions. But I do put in a vote for a rough roadmap laid out.
