I will review if trying to connect to our .onion address is really an issue but my first instinct tells me it is a problem with your setup, please try the default setup on the wiki and tell us if the problem remains.

I will, but if you mean by default setup the one in the
section "manual CLI client setup"

Quote
nudd -tor=127.0.0.1:9050 -bind=12.34.56.78 -bind=127.0.0.1 -externalip=12.34.56.78 -externalip=nudpflyu46lzp5i5.onion -advertisedbalance=0.2

isn't that how a delegate is supposed to announce itself to the network?

Surely if I want to use the services of a delegate I don't need to
be one myself? Wouldn't just running Tor be enough?

We are doing some work on the server and will add new nodes soon, it should mitigate the problem.

It appears to be working now:

2014-06-13 23:15:03 SOCKS5 connected nudpflyu46lzp5i5.onion
2014-06-13 23:15:03 connected nudpflyu46lzp5i5.onion

You only need to set SocksPort or just use the default 9050.

Keep up the good work!  Donation sent.

Thanks!

I would happily make a donation if dev team would show more support. I would love to try to  be a delegate, to use and try possible annon functions tor is a great network to use but dev must elaborate a much more user friendly behaviour and with clear instructions. Wiki is nice but too geeky.

If you need any support just ask and we will do our best to help regardless of any donations, I am aware that the wiki doesn't document nearly everything and is a bit "geeky", we will work on expanding it but have some more pressing matters at the moment.

You need to download and run tor.exe for Windows (not the whole Vidalia bundle!), generate your .onion address and private key by enabling
HiddenServiceDir hidden_service
HiddenServicePort 80 127.0.0.1:11009
in your torrc and then listening on the appropriate ports with the config. Let me know if you are running into any problems with any of the steps.

I am having problems posting on here via Tor because bitcointalk seems to think that I am spreading spam, I am much more active on our forums where you can get all your questions answered in the newbie section and have it archived for other members with the same problem.

On exactly which block is the hard fork supposed to go into effect?  Wanna know exactly when I should switch my scrypt miners over to something else.

The network will hardfork on 1402701633, or in 18682 seconds (5.18944 hours, http://www.epochconverter.com/)

Does this mean the hard fork was a success and we all need to fire up our CPUs to get the blockchain moving?

Yes,

Coin uses "bcrypt_iterated" as opposed to bcrypt (which TaojingCoin used) - consequently, there are no stratum based hashes available, and further no CPU miners for this hash code, as OP has not provided one.

Wallet mining is all that can be done.

Coin is fine, scrypt doesn't work anymore, CPU mine through the wallet and help get the blockchain moving again.

Wallet mining is all that can be done.

The bcrypt algorithm is custom written as far as I know, our developer was offended by the suggestion that we copied it over. I very much doubt that our versions of bcrypt_iterated are identical.

Dev,, pls fix up. thank you.

Sorry everyone, we have tested the patch on testnet and it appeared to work but currently there is the stuck on 5025 block bug. We have temporarily rolled back to 0.0.0.1 while we are getting this issue addressed, please download the rollback version from our downloads page. Sorry for any inconvenience caused by the sudden change. Scrypt will be enabled for a little while longer.

Everyone thank you for your support!

Difficulty is very high, so it will be hard
to get past the last block by cpu-only mining...

I think that is the issue. The sudden decrease in available hashrate, really the difficulty should be reset due to change in algorithm.

Well all that was written was that it was "bcrypt" - not that it was a custom algorithm. Really though, the cpu-miner from pooler should be modified, and also a python-hash should be made available, as without stratum mining, you are really killing off the coin's chances for success.

I'm sure the developer will be able to provide these.

I thought that about difficulty, althoug was something so obvious that I thought dev would toke care about.... So now, we have to mine at difficult 7 a block using a much more hard algorithm for which a network of our size should have a difficult around 0.005 "for say something"?
This remembers me to terracoin or feathercoin old days... With KGW at least difficult will adjust in just one block right?
