i setup my second node before ,just to be a node ,not for forging.
i check my node today, and the block stopped at height 200592. i dont know why ,so i restart the server.and it sync again.
but when the height came to 210721,the height become Decreasing, change to 210650,to 210590,and to 210432 ,until i stop the app.js
i login the server and "forever stop app.js" and "forever start app.js" restart the client again.it became normal.
this Situation happened before. and i dont know why,is anyone can tell me ?
by the way, the sync in China is really slow!!! so it's my wish to setup more node to make the sync faster and more stable in China.

hat has happened to my delegate and to a node when I ran it from a home computer.  It is caused by being on a fork, instead of the official blockchain.

The fix is to delete blockchain.db and restart the node.

With the 10 second block times, forks are going to occur on computers with long latency.  In other words, if it took longer than 10 seconds for your node to communicate with the network, you may form your own fork and continue on it.  When resyncing, at the end of a 101 block cycle, your node cannot match the blocks with the official chain, and so does a search up and down the chain looking for the fork point.

thanks to @crypti
i think the main reason is that i didn't sync time with ntp
https://help.ubuntu.com/lts/serverguide/NTP.html

after i sync time
the blockchain is normal now
and the sync is normal too.

Yippee!!  Thanks!!

Meanwhile, six of the stasDelegates slowly drop below 30% uptime.  I urge the Foundation members to remove their votes for these zombie nodes and transfer them to cryptiNeo, starik and btc.

On another topic, we all (and especially Bitseed?) should be watching this effort to produce a $9 computer.  If this thing can run a Crypti Lite node, we need to make it the cornerstone of our vendor sales terminal hardware development effort.

http://makezine.com/2015/05/07/next-thing-co-releases-worlds-first-9-computer/

I mean, surely there's a way to make a Crypti Lite terminal that doesn't need a 160GB hard drive for vendors to use for a lot less than $149:

yes, really makes more sense to have Crypti Lite run on mobile and IoT devices which are purposed for other things. I'm not sure where there would be a need for a dedicated system to run Crypti Lite, maybe a Point of Sale box.

Our team has looked at the Chip $9 computer. This can run Crypti with 512 Mb RAM and 4 GB onboard flash for storage. The kernel kit looks worth buying. Chip could have a lot of IoT apps, comes with Bluetooth and up to N WiFi. The analog video is a nice touch, enough for a video interface without all the overhead of HDMI.

Back their project at the Kernel Hacker level for $150 and get a Chip alpha board this Sept instead of next May (a whole YEAR from now!).  Any interest in doing this to try to be the first Cryptocoin on this thing?  Let's discuss quickly before all KH slots are gone.  I'll kick in some cash if required but for $150 cash isn't even the issue.  Any of us could go solo on this.  The question is, can we push Crypti in a new and unique way with this that will slipstream us to the top.  Anybody got ideas and a path/plan?

Or would we be better off working on a Crypti Lite node that could run as an Android app on a smartphone and let THAT be our perfered HW platform?

I agree, nobody needs 160 GB. Not for what Most people are using them for

This sounds like a fantastic idea, the C.H.I.P computer is really something. Can't believe they are going for such a low starting price.

I've thought some more (always a dangerous thing) about this $9 CHIP computer.  Their general public release is a year away.  The CHIP $9 computer could take off like a rocket starting May 2016.  Raspberry Pi sold FIVE MILLION of their ORIGINAL SINGLE CORE computer in three years - and THAT cost $35 or FOUR TIMES as much as the CHIP unit!!!

https://www.raspberrypi.org/five-million-sold/

If Crypti is going to win, it's got to play a long game and associate itself with other products and services that are going to grow big Big BIG.  This CHIP unit is definitely in that category.

There are two ways to play this and leverage Crypti off of CHIP-$9.

First, we can do a port of Crypti Lite, wait for CHIP-$9 to come out a year from now, put out press releases saying look at us, isn't our CHIP-$9 Crypti app cool, and compete starting May 2016 for the attention of the public against all of the other developers doing a million other cool things with CHIP-$9.   This is the standard play, and it probably won't succeed.

Second, we can try to get ALL THE OTHER CHIP-$9 DEVELOPERS to incorporate Crypti / DAPP into the CHIP-$9 starting RIGHT NOW.  Assuming all their funding options sell out on Kickstarter, the CHIP gang is planning on sending out 1000 units in September 2015 and 5000 units in December 2015 to their earliest adaptors and developers.

What if we got in touch with the CHIP-$9 team RIGHT NOW and offered a 10XCR faucet to their 1000 Sept 2015 and 5000 Dec 2015 backers?  We could have 6000 new Crypti users by the end of the year at a cost of 60,000 XCR, and these new users would be motivated to incorporate Crypti into their own vendor / DAPP / development efforts on the CHIP-$9.

The sales pitch to CHIP would be that Bitcoin requires a $3000 card to run a "mining node" or Bitseed's own $150 card to run a "personal node", so the CHIP-$9 will never be capable enough to support Bitcoin.  But it IS capable enough to support Crypti from day one.

So...is anybody in the Foundation interested in reaching out to the CHIP team RIGHT NOW and trying to work with them to establish a cryptocoin capability option for their initial alpha CHIP-$9 sponsors in September?

<I've cross-posted a version of this post to the main Crypti Board: http://forum.crypti.me/viewtopic.php?f=4&t=95&p=282#p282 .  Discuss here or there... >

Our product roadmap is a personal server which can link with other units to create a cloud network which is decentralized and owned by the users. The user can either store his data just on his own system or have it securely backed up and available on the cloud. The storage coins, Storj, Maidsafe, and Sia are still in early development so our initial product is a Bitcoin full node which can also be used as a full node for other coins.

Our plan has been to go to a custom board to reduce costs by removing unused components and increase RAM when volume is sufficient. The $9 CHIP shows what is possible, as our target retail price is below $100 for a mass market consumer device. By going to flip chip design, where the integrated circuits are mounted directly to the printed circuit substrate with out leads and packaging, the electronics assembly can be a lot smaller since it essentially a single hybrid integrated circuit. 1 year for production delivery is a long time to wait, and other comparable products are likely to appear in the meantime.

The suggestion to develop a Crypti version for the CHIP is a good one, and they are local here in Oakland, so maybe we can arrange to meet.
