I signed up there and voted.  Looks like they only have 6 coins now?

voted too.

Sigh.  It's off to the races.  I had hoped we could get a tie and both of us be listed.

Yes, they only have six coins for now.  But if we get this, it will be a way to go directly from Crypti to a cashout in USD via your credit card.

OKay, so the Bitshares guys are paying for votes.  But look at the votes for XCR.  We are number 2 by 1200 votes.  That alone should make them take a look at XCR.  After all, they are in it to earn $ from fees.

We could all PM them to ask for XCR to be adopted as well.  Otherwise is is a month to the end of the next vote.

Sigh, this is the prisoner dilemma in action.   The votes keep creeping up due to confirmation delay.

Please, nobody else vote.  I will balance the votes back to a tie for Crypti at 5PM GMT.  After that, let's let this thing go to a tie.

My post on the Bitshares Forum:

I doubt a tie is possible.

A tie only requires cooperation.  I did what I said I would do at 5PM GMT.   There was a tie established at 2137 votes each.  BitShares has since bought an additional 303 votes to stand at its current 2440.

I'm out.  Best wishes to the BitShares community.  You'll be hearing more about Crypti in the future.  See you there.

Wow.  No, that's not me.  I got the ball rolling by personally donating around 0.9 BTC to get us to 2137 votes .  Somebody else has kicked in another 1.5 BTC / 3000 votes so we're in the lead at 5142 vs. 4205 for Bitshares.

Go Crypti!

Back to the Coinomat vote...

Now Crypti is currently way ahead of Bitshares but the "winning" Crypti votes came on June 1.

https://coinomat.com/coinvoting.php

The BitShares people are saying that they should become a part of the Coinomat family because they were "in the lead at the end of the month".  However, Coinomat says (apparently) that the finish line to declare a winner wasn't "the end of the month" but instead at some unknown time in the future that has not really been defined yet.

Anyway, Coinomat has since guaranteed that BitShares USD will be integrated no matter based on the current voting activity, but if they want other flavors of BitShares integrated, to keep voting.

I think we should say if BitShares USD gets integrated immediately into Coinomat based on 4200 votes before a deadline or winner is declared officially, then Crypti should be integrated immediately too based on our current 5400 votes.  If you agree, please say so here:

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1053407.msg11505618#msg11505618

UPDATE:

Five days vote is not enough, not so many coin communities know about the initiative. If Crypti is in top 3 till the 22th we promise to integrate it.

They give each member 3 votes.  BUT, you can only vote for a coin once in the monthly voting.  SO your three votes have to be for 3 different coins, voting once in a month.  You need to buy votes if you want to vote for a coin twice in a month or more.

This shows that they are not interested in community, only $$$.

That is pretty ridiculous that they would open a "paid voting" scheme and then just shoo-in coins at random (or outside of the scheme of the votes placed).

I would consider any coins or fiat sent to CoinoMat as potential loses.  My scam detector is running yellow.

Closing Notes

I'm writing this on a new post for better visibility.

The changes that I've proposed wouldn't take a minute to implement. I've already create a dump file of my .CSS edits and pushed it to GitHub : https://github.com/Wulfcastle/UI/blob/master/unpacked.css
I've not made any "major" design changes (barring the header, my reasoning explained in the above post), just subtle changes here and there intended to get a more consistent look and feel throughout the whole UI.

You guys could literally copy/paste this over your current app.css and double-check the changes in less than a minute. Why not use the changes that I've proposed, changes that the community seem to agree with me, instead of wasting time developing a theming system for the Crypti Client, which let's face it, no one would use to it's full potential. NXT have already tried integrating theming into their client, and virtually no one in their community uses it, I've seen 2 themes pop up from a community 1000x greater than our currently, and neither of those themes are used by anyone.

Rather make the changes now, to the UI as a whole than waste valuable time, developing themeing support for the Client UI (which could take > 50 hours), time which you guys could use to build Apps for the DApps Store or time which you guys could use to fix bugs/stabilize the client better/improve usability etc.

It would be far more productive to make the changes to the UI now as a whole, based on community feedback, and mould the UI into something that everyone in the community agrees with, rather than create a system where each community member has to individually tailor their UI to their preferences, because that is just never going to happen.

Bumping this as well...

i have a few questions about delegates and DPOS

Only the first 101 delegates are harvesting ? Average joe can't forge sheet ?

The 10 000 xcr fees for delegate registration are distributed to the 101 ? Why can't we just lock 10 000 and unlock them instead after a while Huh

As it is, it just looks like a ponzi/pyramid scheme/gifting circle  Smiley You pay to get in, money goes to the top and so on  Smiley

Hello luckygenouogh56,

yes, only the first 101 delegates (also called top 101 or top delegates) are harvesting/forging. The other ones are continuously striving to make their nodes better, so the community vote for them. This adds a social security layer to the consensus mechanism, just like Bitshares does it.

Average joe need to provide a better service and node than the top 101 to get voted for. He also need to be a valuable and trustworthy member of the community. Only this way he will get enough votes.

The delegate fee is 100 XCR, we changed it recently. Can you tell me, where you read 10,000 XCR? So we can change it, maybe we forgot a place to update. The 100 XCR is a fee just like the fee when you send money. It gets distributed equally(!) to the 101 delegates, yes.

I agree that it looks a bit strange at the beginning, the foundation gets all the fees. However, you have to see the big picture. Once the most delegates are provided by the community, it will be a fair system. It's the chicken-egg problem, same "isn't it unfair that satoshi mined the first bitcoin block?".

Also, we currently have a few plans to get more community members involved. You will hear more regarding this matter soon.

I hope this answers your questions, just ask. Smiley

First of all, we plan to make Crypti a big success in the year 2015. We are developing the system, we offer community support, we build partnerships.. And once we have the Dapp Store ready, we will make a big marketing campaign.

In the beginning we had huge problems as you know, we just took the first step to the right direction with v0.2.0. It got released 7 weeks ago. Since then we redesigned the wallet, implemented usernames and contacts (into the core), coded multisignature (not testet yet), enhanced cryptichain massively and made huge progress at the dapp development.

Remember, we are not a huge team. We are not backed with millions like Ethereum. Still, we are here, we make great progress. But because of these things it takes time. The price is over the IPO price already, so this in itself is big. Smiley

Can we get some official word on what is going on with the network?  According to the Network Monitor we only have 60 Delegates online, and if you were running a Windows client, you are now offline.  Isn't this enough reason to vote up our non-Foundation delegates like China and get them forging?
