There isn't even any real detailed explanation of how the protocol works in the whitepaper. Am I missing something?

Right now it's closed source, yes. It will be open sourced later, before that happens we will publish all sources from the v0.1.9 branch. This will happen shortly after we release the dapps. No reason to take it off the list. We are one of the most promising 2.0 coins. Some elements of the other cryptocurrencies are also closed source (e.g. clients).

I've been speaking with Max and Boris in that new slack channel. Saw GreXX (matthewdc) in there too, gave us a quick welcome message . That ETH market cap so high, we could take some of it once Crypti starts marketing and is in testing phases of DAPPS.

Some of our team members are so busy working for Crypti that they are rarily in this thread anymore. They get in contact with news outlets, potential partners, brainstorm ideas, plan ads, marketing, working on dapps already..

The best is, when you come to our slack. There are more likely some of our guys.

Like Boris said 0.5.0 is making good progress. We really hope to get much feedback by everyone when we open up the testnet.

Status Report - 25th August, 2015

Hello Everyone,

It was a busy week for the whole Crypti team. We pushed Crypti Mobile to Apple's App Store, had good progress with our decentralized application code, and started development of our first decentralized application (dapp) which will soon run on Crypti.

The good news is that as soon as people know about Crypti its price is going x10-x20 up and I'm sure lots of investors would be happy to share their profits for future growth. So every penny you spend in a right direction is going to turn several times back.

If there are no funds for marketing Crypti might be in for a rough ride, innovation alone can get us somewhere but if people dont know what is being done then what's the point? It has been said throughout this forum that marketing will begin with a finish product. IMO, marketing should begin before the product is released as to build anticipation towards the product. That's just my two satoshis anyways.

The market is too thin for selling XCR to raise money that way.  BUYS available on Polo are 2.6 BTC.  That would drop the price to the 800s.  Even selling to every single BUY order, would get us 6 BTC and a 1 satoshi price.

We have allocated funds for marketing, but we can't pay $2000 dollar for every news as there are so many news and so many will follow. We pay around $50 for press releases, like you see above at CoinDesk (2 more are planned soon). Then we will soon start to pay for ads, we will have a big hackathon when we go live. All those pieces together are already expensive enough.

We need to think in months and years, not days and weeks here. We are here to stay for a long time, even if it will be a 'tour de force', like Bill Gates said it for Bitcoin.

Currently I have about 2 meetings a week with some journalist, so we can get covered somewhere. It's very hard if the news outlets don't see money. For this reason I'm currently also preparing my own news site around dapps (Ethereum, Crypti, MaidSafe..), I hope I get some support by the other communities this way. We all want dapps to succeed, so we need to work together.
