I'm still having troubles getting my XCR from the wallet I was told to put the coins in. I am told that there is a second passphrase on the wallet, yet i do not remember ever installing one. There is apparently no way under the sun for the second passphrase to be recovered. I have 430k xcr there - kind of feel scammed still as my first passcode works and there is no way of recovering or resetting the second one. I have dabbled in crypto since the start of blackcoin and this has never happened before, so i feel that there was a glitch if this was the case.
Hello, I presume you are cryptotradeteam on the Crypti forums right? Like the last time I unfortunately have to tell you, that there is no other possibility than that you created the 2nd passphrase. The client can't create a passphrase out of nothing. Either it's not possible to reset the 2nd passphrase.

I created many Crypti accounts. There is no possible way to accidently create a second passphrase. And there is no way the client will
make one for you, no way. So your memory is pretty awful. The second passphrase is just one feature that to me makes Crypti much
much more secure than other cryptos. But it is totally optional and no way ever to not know you were creating it. I'm sorry for you
but keep trying to remember. If you picked a strong passphrase for your account maybe you picked a small one for your second one.
Like a 4 digit atm code. Keep try to remember it.

If you same guy from forum who forgot second password, i can say that you enabled it before migration to dpos network. I don't know did Max show your blockchain spanshot or not, but there was your seccond password public key and it was enabled.

Still buying. I just see, that there arrived the first DAPP. Great work! GiveMeCreditA monetary system where trust has to be earned, and value has to be proven GiveMeCredit is a blockchain-based web-browser which serves as a cryptocurrency, search engine, and crowdfunding platform, via three simple buttons; like, dislike and donate. Hi, why most of the delegates are in Not Forging state at the moment, including mine CryptiNeo?
Did I miss anything?
Version 0.5.2 is being rolled out, so delegates need to be updated. Max and Olivier are preparing the docs.

We had a slight overlap with the release and the night. v0.5.2 is released and the foundation are updating their versions right now. So CryptiChain.me is updated as well, so your nodes are shown as not forging now there. Because they are on an old version. Maybe they even got on a fork right now (old v0.3.2 chain), instead forging on the v0.5.2 branch.

Hey guys, just checked this project out. I'm a web developer by profession, so a pure JavaScript solution was very attractive to me. I installed it from the source and the web wallet is working nicely. Consider me impressed! Still have to learn quite a lot, but I guess my next step will be the development of a DAPP. I'm stil working on a proper idea.

I am new to Crypti and it's the first time I have tried to start the wallet and it gets stuck at the splash screen:
"Searching for the best peer available. This process can take a moment."
How long is a moment? I have waited for 30 minutes and it's still searching. Is this normal.
I am running a Mac with OSX El Capitan 10.11.1 (15B42) and I just downloaded the last wallet.

I'm stil working on a proper idea. Hey allyouracid, welcome to Crypti! We just released a new version of Crypti (v0.5.2) and the source code will be released with a slight delay. So you probably built the old v0.3.2 version from the sources. This version should work as long you are not forging with it, but you will have a much worse performance than with v0.5.2. Additionally many new features are not available on v0.3.2. (Dapps, Dapp Store, Multi-Sig etc.). I might even be mistaken and the client doesn't work at all, we didn't try it yet. To get some introduction into dapp development, I suggest the following tutorials: https://github.com/crypti/crypti-dapps-docsIt's very easy and as a JavaScript developer you shouldn't have problems. Currently we have a dapp contest running, where you can which huge prizes. Due to the lack of participants (only 1 known right now), we will extend the contest tomorrow. So you still have all the chances to participate. I think the best location to ask questions is https://crypti.chat and https://forum.crypti.me. I am new to Crypti and it's the first time I have tried to start the wallet and it gets stuck at the splash screen:

Hey EBK1000, welcome to Crypti! Yes, we just released a new client (2 days ago) and the lite clients are unfortunately not updated yet. Please stay tuned until then. In the meantime you can use our "full" client, i.e. Crypti: Delegate & Developer Edition. If you don't want to download the blockchain you can also use our secure online client: https://wallet.crypti.me/. All interactions are signed locally, so it's 100% as secure as the other clients. If you send me your Crypti IDs via PM, I can send you a few XCR so you can test out some functionalities. ____________ So you guys joined at the best possible time. We are right in the transition to our biggest release with the decentralized applications. Stay tuned a few more days and our whole ecosystem will be available again.

Why don't you guys just open source the new releases? What do you see wrong with the model of Bitcoin, Bitshares, Ethereum, Monero, NXT, and every other cryptocurrency? Why do you think people are going to be willing to buy into your closed source ecosystem? It was like you had to be pressured to release the source for v0.3x, and then you immediately update to v0.5x, which is apparently incompatible with the version you released the source for. I'm honestly just curious, and not trying to troll; I just don't see what the appeal/necessity is of keeping things closed source. Nobody is using it, nobody is developing for it, why would someone even bother to try and copy it?

Nxt is doing it exactly as we do. They don't open up the source code immediately. See yourself: https://nxtforum.org/general-discussion/maybe-it's-time-to-open-the-nxt-core-development/https://nxtforum.org/general-discussion/maybe-it's-time-to-open-the-nxt-core-development/msg199725/#msg199725So you can see, they (Nxt devs) are obfuscating new releases as well. We just released v0.5.2 and took the weekend off, after several hard 7-day-weeks. We will release the source code of course at one point, we just need to decide when. I don't know enough about the other altcoins you mentioned. and every other cryptocurrency?
First and foremost, we are a platform built with elements of a crypto-currency. There are over 600 crypto-currencies with 0 success, somewhere they need to do something wrong. I don't say it's that they release their source code, but I presume the general handling is one of the causes. There is a reason why many big companies don't open source their code, it's because the code is their business. Everything they have. Why do you think people are going to be willing to buy into your closed source ecosystem? It was like you had to be pressured to release the source for v0.3x, and then you immediately update to v0.5x, which is apparently incompatible with the version you released the source for. Sorry for "immediately update to v0.5x" with dozens of bug fixes, speed improvements, decentralized applications, dapp store, multi-signature, loading bars and so on. We are constantly refining the code, making it better, faster, more feature-rich. We have a model, at which we release software to the public. Check a few weeks if everything is working fine, then release the source code. It's all related to the security of our users, not because someone will copy it. Again, we will open source the 0.5.x branch. We just released 2 days ago in the middle of the night. Be patient.

I was just curious as to your rationale, which you didn't really explicate except to say that "There is a reason why many big companies don't open source their code, it's because the code is their business. Everything they have." This is somewhat of a non-sequitur imo, for several reasons: you're not a big company, companies that rely on others to develop their ecosystem probably do more often than not open source their code immediately (android, firefox, chrome, etc.), and your biggest competitors (which are light years ahead of you in terms of valuation) also open source their code immediately (BTS and ETH). NXT was probably the worst one to compare to as they've been plummeting in value, and the thread you linked was about how many in their community think they should open source their development. I'm not being impatient, I only have a relatively small amount on poloniex and a passing interest, I just wanted to get an idea of the thinking behind the decision to be closed source.
