How do you know how much has been invested if the client does not reflect the vested amount?
Client has been running for 4 days with 0 vested.

Gonna have to provide more info than that. You're the only person I know of who says it is "broken".

but I think many new users will just be running nis+ncc on default port. isn't that a real issue for the network? I mean you said if ncc can be accessed then nis can be crashed!? you guys should fix that somehow.

1) I wouldn't know how you can crash NIS by accessing NCC. Btw: This does NOT mean people can access your wallet! You are using a strong password, so thats not possible even IF you have the port 8989 open!
2) By default all ports are closed in your router. Just don't open port 8989, and you are fine.
3) This is not an issue for the network. This is not even a security issue for anybody. But of course it is annoying, if people can create wallets with your NCC Cheesy So yes, it IS recommended to close the port which is used for NCC, which usually is 8989.

As a BTT-stakeholder, can I already claim my stake now or is there nothing new since launch?
blog.nem.io/overview
You will find all relevant information there.

Are there any addresses allocated to the "Sustainability Fund"?

    Marketing Fund (Launch/V1 Reward): NCMARK-ECQXP3-SQZSJP-CBKOQW-IXRRI7-LIS4FT-U4VZ
    Operational Costs Fund I: NCOPER-AWEWCD-4A34NP-5UQCCK-EX44MW-4SL3QY-JYS5
    Post-V1 Fund: NDEVPO-SK4OMR-4PRTLY-FHX4W5-QTOND7-TZDT2D-TU4Q
    Pre-V1 Fund: NDEVPR-E5ZWVG-2PXSM5-4BGZBF-F525G2-4UKVOG-OZNT
Sustainability Fund: NDSUST-AAB2GW-HBUFJX-P7QQGY-HBVEFW-ZESBUU-WM4P (right now used for payouts for re and late claimers, after lat redemption period this will be split in the sub funds, as stated in the dev contract.

Is it possible for me to see at every point how much has been spent already on the different parts ?
This is blockchain technology, every transaction is public Smiley

Who decides how to spend it ? Who has access to these funds ?
The core team decides. No single person has access, we have all funds in multisig secured accounts.

Just a suggestion,

I think it would be nice to have the social links visible on the homepage of nem.io as well as within the client.

This would give people more opportunity to get involved and help promote NEM

Apart from facebook/twitter

Bitcoin Talk
Reddit
NEM Forum
IRC (#ournem)
Take a look at this: blog.nem.io/overview

But we could indeed include some in the client. No high priority though Smiley
Thanks for the idea!

Ask xtester if there's proof...  B I T C H!!!   Kiss

@xtester, is there a proof?

Well, to be honest I think there might be proof, but I am in no way involved in the matter, as I have already explained to smaragda.

Ok, I take it as Smaragda really got money lost in Simcoin.

smaragda, I have been away until now, so I couldn't answer sooner. Please note that I have repeatedly responded to you and offered suggestions as to how you might not end up in a bad situation on this thread, and done this with respect and civility. If you continue trolling and spamming the thread I will have to start cleaning up. Please think twice before you proceed to doing again what you normally do.

1) I wouldn't know how you can crash NIS by accessing NCC.

Well, what he(laniakea) means is the following: an "attacker" can access NCC=>Settings, enter e.g. 0.0.0.0 as remote server and 123 as port. Boom, NIS offline, and node owner -- unless grasping how the software works -- confused, as Nis can't be relaunched and wallets can't be opened with such setting in place.

idk the previous setting. i reinstalled the nem program in a new folder, but still the same problem appear.

In the settings enter 127.0.0.1 and check default port

I have warned you one too many times. Repeated trolling is unacceptable here, smaragda. You can always post and discuss things in a civil manner if you wish, but trolling is not allowed.

@xtester

Why are you intentionally ignoring all the personal attacks against me on the NEM thread?

smaragda, I am not ignoring them, once you have crossed a line, expect that people will react.

Anybody is free to post opinions, complaints, or even personal attacks as long as these are done in a civil manner.

Developers control 65% of coins, I believe.  This is probably the worst distribution of POS coin

Once again you start to turn the old theme in a circle. How can they control if everything is secured multi-signatures? Shocked

This reminded me that the issue related to completely trust-free harvesting is still there. By protecting every single participant you make the whole system more vulnerable. If automatic fee transfering was removed then small fish would start to care whom they give the power of delegated harvesting to. I haven't seen an explanation why it's not an issue yet.

Sorry, I don't see any problem here.

Delegated harvesting doesn't delegate to someone else. It delegates to another account that is is still your.
