They are using Mijin as a private chain, not the public NEM blockchain.
It says NEM technology, because mijin is based on NEM technology. They should have made it clearer in the press release.

Nonetheless NEM will benefit from this directly because if Mijin is successful and gets more money, it can pay more developers, who will contribute to the core (Catapult) which is shared by Mijin and NEM, plus it gives NEM a lot of credibility and proves that it's enterprise quality technology, which will help the entire NEM ecosystem immensely.

What NEM need is a company like DF and Mijin which promotes the public blockchain of NEM to companies.

Is there a plan for the future to do this? Otherwise we will cheer for Mijin and DF but nothing really will happen with NEM I'm afraid.

I mentioned it earlier, there are a lot of large buy orders around 400-500 sats, I am sure these are holding up XEM value, true value of XEM is not at 600-700 says, 200-300 is at best.

I think it's pretty hard to call a rise like that organic. If the DAO hadn't taken a shit I don't think anything like as much money would've poured in. And in the last few months NEM's daily Poloniex volume has varied between 10-15 BTC and nearly 2000 so anything can and will happen.

Even if this spurt is short lived, it gets more people talking and researching. I think most here are in it for the long haul so there's not much to sweat about.
