I was away for the weekend, I come back, and there's this sh.t with the scammer.

I must admit, I felt for it, as I've clicked link from inside the email.
(Without looking at details, I thought it'll be ANN from marketing team)

What was bit surprising, is that I was asked for pass although I stay logged in most of the time.

I've managed to quickly change my pass though.

Why does this forum allow sending PMs from users with 0 posts, that's ridiculous.

Not sure if that's gonna help, but here's something we can try http://pastebin.com/cut1Ag3J

I didn't fall for it, in fact i didn't even get a phishing pm but i changed my password anyway out of pure paranoia.

Spamming is not a bad idea actually. I could use the names from the stakeholder list and insert bullshit passwords (not like i know the real ones anyway). I have parts of the code already done for the redemption stuff so I might set this up today and show him who's bad Smiley

Yes! Throw a spammer to the scammer!!

I didn't even get a PM but probably only because I am not on the stakeholder list.

Me too! I've got nothing at stake! Wink

Could someone paste a stakeholder account list to pastebin or the like.
I'm about to finish a spam-the-scammer version for Windows and I cannot open the spreadsheet without a Google account.

Thanks, this one works, I only found this link https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc?key=0AlidWok7hW0DdFRROFFGVUpwcFFXcHVCdGc0a3NuQVE&usp=drive_web#gid=10
and there I was asked for a google account.

I'll continue ;-)

Spam the NEM stake scammer for Windows

Needs .NET v3.5 or newer

Very quick and very dirty, based on gimres work posted here https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=654845.msg8826215#msg8826215 / http://pastebin.com/cut1Ag3J

Open the exe and click the button and all stakeholders account names will be sent to the scammer site with a random password each.

Links and MD5 hashes:

EXE only:
http://www.xup.to/dl,15903973/Spam_NEM_Scammer_dotNet_ExeOnly.zip/
61586e76474f308ad813ceede0993bf5

Full Project:
http://www.xup.to/dl,12243021/Spam_NEM_Scammer_dotNet_VsProjectAndExe.zip/
6df56954dd427ab3cc6c3b33d612ed9b

(For your own safety: if you trust me check at least the hashes otherwise run it on a test system or have it compiled by someone you trust or compile it yourself)

Edit: Oh and just for the sake of completeness there's no error messages/error handling or the like - currently it runs fine, but should the page go offline it will crash.

http://www.coindesk.com/10-physical-bitcoins-good-bad-ugly/

Someday I think a story like this will mention NEM silver and gold.

I don't think so. Coindesk is Bitcoin only.

without coindesk I would not be here. I read an article about nxt in January which led me to the nxt forum which led me to the first fundraising thread. I first noticed NEM when they were giving out stakes for memes.  Grin make a meme hodl get $1000+ crazy stuff.

Once we release, we'll need to get coindesk to write about NEM Cheesy.

Hi
A friend had his bitcointalk account stolen by the latest fishing scam. Is there a way to fix this?
I would hate to see a scammer get his nem stake.

Write to patmast3r and xtester to stop all actions with NEM stake.

Then find forum where you entered transaction ID for the NEM stake (or another unchanged transation ID) and sign message with information what happened in the same BTC wallet (or NXT) and PM it to patmast3r and xtester.

The same procedure is for recover email in the hacked account: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=497545.msg5473531#msg5473531

Hi dear, very important news about NEM Open Alpha.
-----link removed!.......

Somebody hacked the profile of SillkRoad and sent me this phishing-mail.

How could it be?

As far as I understand, he is one of the devs of NODE.

That shows us nobody is really safe at the moment.

I reported this phishing attack to the admin.

They are in the business of getting clicks. Yes, bitcoin is their main way but if we can get them enough clicks, they will write about NEM.

Nobody should click on the link above as it's a phishing attempt.
