I am worried. It is nice that CfA is being nice to us instead of giving us total shit, but really CfA is public enemy #1 on lots of other threads with lots of other coins.
I really want NEM to be drama free. I know in the alt world that is a bit unrealistic, but I can't help but wanting it.
I think he's genuinely trying to mellow himself, as am I now.. There's also new weird Public Enemies that are kind of hilarious and entertaining in their own right... I never thought I'd be one to say this but you should check out what's going on in the Monero threads. But if your end goal is to talk about cryptocurrency, I agree, drama just clouds things with uncertainty. Having said that, its still healthy to have a fair amount of debate. Its disturbing to read threads where everyone is constantly patting each other on the back and in lock step with a dictated reality.. Definitely a turn off from an investor's point of view, IMHO.

I'm having a problem running the webstart version of 0.2.18. Whenever I try to run nem-monitor.jnlp, the software tells me that it recommends i get latest version of java, which I have. then I get an application error "Unable to launch application"
Next I tried standalone. when I run runNis.bat and runNcc.bat, a java windows pop up, closes out, and nothing happens
Do you have java 8 installed?

I still see a lot of people using version 0.2.16 or older. Please upgrade to version 0.2.18 or your node might end up on a fork which cannot be resolved. So once again:
Mandatory switch to 0.2.18https://forum.nemcoin.com/index.php?topic=2440

There is so much money and effort invested by so many big investors in bitcoin that it can't fail anytime soon. The US govt basically classified it as digital gold. Gold does not need to innovate, it only needs to store value and bitcoin can do this while crypto 2.0 can be adopted for day to day transactions. This is how I think it will go in the next 5 yrs. Bitcoin will eventually gain back it's losses.
Oktoberfest doesn't start until today, so I'm not sure what you are drinking

Oktoberfest doesn't start until today, so I'm not sure what you are drinking If Bitcoin capitalization was in the $trillions then I would agree with his assessment. That being said, Bitcoin capitalization is actually only $5.4 billion and it continues to drop. Bitcoin capitalization will soon be smaller than Tinder (dating app). Bitcoin could be replaced by something else and, other then nostalgic moments or by historians, nobody would remember what it is. I could ask random people on the street if they knew what Myspace was and I imagine most wouldn't recognize the name, and yet Myspace had a capitalization in the billions at one point. Digital currencies, when maximized, should have a capitalization somewhere between $1-$10 trillion. Dot.com in the late 1990s was $7 trillion of wealth and the internet back then was only used by 2% of the population. Investment gold is $2 trillion but digital currencies have more utilitarian uses. So yes I think Bitcoin at $5.4 billion has no holding power given the potential size of the crypto currency market.

NEM is not a brainwallet, but private keys are stored in an encrypted wallet on your hard drive. So if an account already exists, it is because it is already in your local wallet.

Do not trust CfA under any circumstances. Keep ignoring him (I'm suprised so many people still se his messages i.e. don't have him on their ignore list) When he first started his shitstorm against NEM I told him that what he was doing wasn't cool and he wrote ma an all apologetic pm about how I'm a sensible guy and how his intentions were all good. I think you all remember what happend after that. Thread, after thread, after thread doing nothing but trashing NEM.
Even if he was serious he wouldn't deserve absolution.
Don't trust him. He hasn't turned. Just a new trolling angle.

I think anyone who's followed this thread even slightly would know what this individual is like. If they do believe him it's probably because they're trolling themselves.

His trolling with NEM was far more severe. For awhile, for instance, he claimed in his signature (or that box on the left hand side) that he was NEM's organizer / developer / community representative. Or the time when he was creating (what felt like to me) 20 threads a day about NEM.

Can i copy that file to other pc and delete original one? Same cituation will follow after hd failure. There should be some instructions what to do then. Lot of users, some amount of problems, don't you think?

Copy that file to a new computer then you can access your account from the new computer.

I think they're working on in-client options that help the process of backing up your wallet. It would be neat if the client also allowed you to "restore" backup wallets too.

www.iotatoken.com https://twitter.com/iotatokenIota is a brand new and novel micro-transaction cryptotoken optimized for the Internet-of-Things (IoT). Unlike the complex and heavy blockchains of Bitcoin and the like, which were designed with other uses in mind, Iota is created to be as lightweight as possible, hence the name "Iota" with emphasis on the ‘IoT’ part.

i can accept that, however.. for obvious reasons it is hard to trust you. so what i suggest is if even one troll post.. here or on any other thread is spotted, i think everyone of your posts should be deleted from this thread for good. so stand by your words and everything is ok. but ya im very skeptical.. lol prove me wrong please.
