original comment from: https://forum.nemcoin.com/index.php?topic=2501.30Quote from: vytasz7 on Today at 10:20:59 AM every nemster could get "nem investment fund" asset and then everyone could decide what they want to do (keep it or sell) well there would be a market for the shares the second they are distributed. i guess people could opt out if they wish to not use the nxt AE and wait until the nem AE is ready at which point they could be sent the shares they are owed. we could keep track of dividends that users not on the AE have earned in time between distribution of asset and launch of AE and send the users shares along with the dividends they are owed. the assets value would be backed by the value of the capital the fund holds(the nem) + any assets it has acquired through investing. so i would assume these assets would have a very high value straight off the mark. damn... this could be amasing! Sounds good, too!

Another Idea could be, that we generate a second Nemesis account with all the unspend stakes in and double or trible all fees, till the account is empty. So we can support the network for a long time.

neither give nor burn is not advisable in my opinion ... needed within the NEM project, which will use these features ... coins need to book, to define the conditions and goals, and announce the competition have a general idea of me, but I find it hard to express it...

I recently bought 0.1 NEMstake using the NXT asset exchange.
Is this all I need to do for now? Am I all set or do I need to do anything else in order to claim ownership of my coins? And what will I need to do once the NEM blockchain is launched? How will I turn my NEMstake asset on the NXT AE into actual NEM coins?

On 09.09.2014 my grandchild twins Bennet and Jonathan were born. Suggest to send them a Nemstake each as a gift. Be sure, they will not dump or sell in the longer term.
I would have thought their names would be BenNEM and JoNEMthan. ;-) Congrats. I will vote you the President of the Old Grumps Club of NEM without a doubt. Our grand old Champ in NEM!! Too bad it is not my decision to give them two NS. If NEM was launched, i am sure to have flicked a few of my Nem Coins over. By the time they are twenty and ready to rule the world, those NEM coins may be worth 10K each.

anyone who holds nem on the AE does not need to do anything yet. when you do it should be as simple as sending you nemstake to a nxt address along with a nem address. that phase of the process hasnt been released yet so you dont need to do anything yet. but its advisable to check back atleast once a week. you should have plenty of time to proceed once the time comes.. atleast a couple weeks anyway so checking once a week should suffice. Ah, good. Thanks. That was what I thought. Looking forward to seeing my 100,000 NEM soon.

At the rate the world is going with money printing, total world money circulation in 21 years time may be a couple of Quadrillion. With a market cap of 40 Trillion out of say, 2 Quarillion, this is 2%. It then begets the question of "is it possible"?. Answer, why not? ;-)

Absolutely agreed. This idea reminds me a bit of Protoshares PTS which has proven quite popular and valuable. Two large things that drive value are utility and exposure, so anything to that end is also useful (within reasonable bounds). I just don't think air dropping it is a good idea at all. Once the coin has utility through the eco system and is used as an underlying currency for mobile apps, farmvilles, whatevers, then other people will want it outside of money/platform savvy folks. It has been proven countless times that money earned (I don't necessarily mean purchased with fiat, maybe via labor in community programs) is more precious to someone than money given. Hold it in reserve to fuel spin-offs, fund development, or reasonable and small chunks for grass roots PR stuff (associate modest amounts to tangible assets / give aways once a mobile app exists and there are at least a few apps of utility). Dumping it on people that don't understand what it is for or don't care will just hurt it as others point out.

Then go to the AE and choose nemstake and add your bids.

NOOB here and who's account is the most trusted on NXT-AE. Thank you This is probably the easiest way. http://www.secureae.com/ They will automatically convert your Bitcoin into NXT and then you can make bids. I think there is an option to buy directly with Bitcoin too, but don't quote me on that. You might be able to save one or two percent by putting you bitcoin on an exchange, then transferring to NXT, then putting the NXT in a wallet on your computer. Then buying through the Asset Exchange directly, or you can save a couple steps and pay a little more on http://www.secureae.com/Also, there is only one place selling real NEMstakes. There is another person but it is a scam. This is the real one. https://nxtblocks.info/#section/assets_exchange/market/12465186738101000735Account number NXT-J62B-CNAR-34YW-4RCFN
