Well I guess that's why this coin has crashed and burned so badly. On the off chance that you intended this coin to actually turn into something other then a quick buck, you don't see a problem here? The coin was hovering around 150 difficulty when people were still mining it; you could throw an entire Gh/s at this thing and it would take you 3 months to reach the amount of coins that you just handed out. Whats the point of mining a coin when such vast sums are just just dumped on the market instantly like that?

In addition, I am not going to give these amounts in lump sums to avoid dumps.

A soon as it hit an exchange and people didn't see an instant gratification reward on what they mined, Mining slowed down. Give it time. The record of trading proves there is no dumping and that should be encouraging to people.

I guess maybe I didn't explain clearly. Let me explain it like this.
From a miner's perspective, why bother mining a coin when such huge sums of coins are "created" instantly? It would take the typical miner YEARS to accumulate that many coins. Even entire pools would take months to get there. So why bother?
As for an investor, why purchase the coin when at any given instant, your investment could be drastically devalued by the dev handing out a couple hundred thousand coins?
This isn't that complicated really. If you do things exactly the same way as every other coin is done, odds are your coin is going to end up like every other coin too. And for scrypt that isn't too good.

The exchange bounty was high, yes. But amounts like this are one time and there are no 'give outs' like this from now on. I'm doing my best to mitigate such fear as you mention. When I launched , I wasn't sure how many coins would be snatched up with the early mining frenzy.. it was way less than i thought due to the DarkWaveGravity.

I lil help here on the price support at the exchange and we can get this coin rolling again. Buy Quatloos! There's promotion in the works and there hasn't been any coin dumping ... price is rising! were in the game.

There are a few things you need to realize about this coin and the bounty. Firstly, I do not know how many coins the dev has, but after the bounties are paid, I don't think there is much left for the dev. I am sure he has only what he needs to support the coin. Secondly unlike all these PoS fad coins that you can only mine for a week, which are all pump and dumps, this coin is like litecoin or bitcoin, it is mineable forever basically. So the bounties are not that much due to the long mining life of the coin. There was no IPO or hidden pre-mine blocks, there is far less of a premine or bounty coins than about 99% of the coins out there. The bounty has also been split up between a few people who all have helped in many ways promoting, getting pools, getting exchanges, new ideas for the future, etc., and these people feel they are part of the Quatloo team and have not dumped coins. I feel that most likely as in any business, as the coin grows there will be some slow selling at times, but no one got into this coin for a 2 week pump and dump. Bitcoin had a 5% pre-mine, Darkcoin had a 50% instamine, and those coins are doing very well. I wouldn't be concerned about a .0015% bounty split over two weeks time between 5 people. The biggest concern is getting the word out so Quatloo is as well known as the other big coins like Dark. Everyone can do their part to increase the price by spreading the word or buying the "cheap" QTL now, while the dev works on getting real world use for the coin.
