Guys, sorry posting from my phone but didn't one member discover that uninstalling the game leaves some files behind?
Yes, the audio files that were added by YT. One is unused, but I can't identify it.

S4VV4S The split.bin is what is appended to space.mp4. split.bin got shifted -100 byte and thus gave a .7z archive we now call another.7z (arbitrary)

I don't see the QR code in file 20, only in 21-25. And there is no file 16 left after uninstall. EDIT: File size and bitrate of file 16 was changed in comparison to original game. Old: 30.5 kB, 176 kBit/s, new: 188kB, 256kBit/s File size of 20-25 is 430 kB for each, bitrate 705kBit/s Edit: 20_swoosh.wav

In the licence file for the DoD game, a version number was changed from 0.4.0 to 0.5.0.
Reason unknown.
Then you're using the wrong original. There's a 0.5.0 that I compared against and posted about above. I was first working off of 0.3.1 and it was already pretty close, so you probably don't need to worry about grabbing 0.5.0 at this point. (Note that the .exe installer works with Wine, if you do want to go down that route and check my work.) regarding the last of the words/phrases, I was wondering if they might be part of a dark wallet wallet recovery seed, but since there wasn't a clear way to order them, brute forcing that seemed overly tedious. Played the game, read the docs. Can't seem to make anything stick
Heh, I've been avoiding actually playing that game, maybe there's a phrase or something in there. EDIT: It's not possible for the first half of Space.mp4 to /be/ anything because it is an exact copy of the source posted on the 25th feb 2014 (the same date as the album).
Probably just padding but its contents /may/ be something for the password. I've ran so many double sha's on everything about that file. No joy.
Yeah, ugh. Welcome! You said the same QR-code were in all of them. Is there still one audio file you havn't solved? The 16_kaboom.wav file has an audio fragment that might be a clue. Either speed it up or change the sampling rate. Sounds like a naggingly familiar chopped out piece of an old 8 bit game.

Yeah, but nobody can work out what it's from exactly. It's not from the Kaboom Atari game (way too complex for that), but it does seem familiar all the same. Heh, I've been avoiding actually playing that game, maybe there's a phrase or something in there.
I've dumped the strings from the binary and run them against the 7z. No results. Guys mirth made me realize that nobody played the actual game right?

The binary is original and untouched. MD5(OG/dodwin.exe) = 17ba524c3ceb8b0e60a977e8302192d9 MD5(modified/dodwin.exe) = 17ba524c3ceb8b0e60a977e8302192d9

The binary is original and untouched. Yes but maybe there is something there.... Remember that members had to play MC to get clues, so I find it highly plausible

Playing the game is going to suck.. It's beyond tedious. If you want to go left, you have to press L and d for down ......
II hope that is not going to be the route.
Oh well......

Thou shalt not brute force..... So, that is not the way to go about it I suppose..... EDIT: Did anyone actually play the game? What is it about?
