45 minutes until the graphic designer turns up with his first drafts I could rebrand this to DRKSLK or build on this I prefer the rebranded #1. #2 does nothing for me.

I have a professional graphic designer working on the logo and the only reason I don't have anything to show is because I keep falling asleep when he is due to come over.
:/
The hours of coding are finally starting to get to me lol.
However.
Today I am seeing him and will get his first drafts and will be showing you guys his work.
I have no idea what he has done and am as excited as you are to see what has been done.

Just stick with current graphics and color palette, they are perfectly fine. The same goes for name and all else, there are countless instances of current SILK branding all over the web and it is very bad idea to make them obsolete. Rebranding did not work well for even one altcoin so don't waste time, money and efforts on it.

Ahhh, sorry Cisa, I private repo'd it until we hit prelaunch simply because the work I am doing alongside CryptoVote and InfernoMan is too valuable to just have other coins poach. Currently we are splitting out CTransaction into CMutableTransaction and CTransactionPoS has been created to deal with the PoS side of things. We then have CBlock and CBlockheader to sort out. Currently PoS is correct and the code changes I made are no longer producing negative stake and this code change should also rectifty the Stormnode payment issues. As you can imagine this code will be instantly picked up by other coins. DarkSilk even in its unfinished state has had multiple forks made, which I find quite amusing as it is unfinished code. Please be sure we are thoroughly testing the code and Stormnode testing is at the top of the list. Other tweaks will be done to denom selection, peertablemodel info, Stormnode payment selection via hash and much more before our zero hour. BTW we are about 60 commits ahead of the main repo, so there is still a shed load of work being done.

From a marketing/PR standpoint the Camel makes publishing, manipulation and graphics harder and a clean 1 color symbol is much more 'serious'. If a graphic artist can find a way to use the camel in a more stylized way that's fine, but the current 'silkcoin' logo is way too busy to work, and also looks sort of Childish.

I am working with the graphic designer on logos for DarkSilk, Silk and Weaver. All three logos are looking to crossover in one way or another. There are many factors being taken into account and the final product I am sure you will all be happy with.

After 350 blocks into the blockchain, coins will begin maturing and PoS will begin to start. The wallet holding the swap coins will be set to not stake in its configuration file. Staking=0 Exchanges will be notified of the swap and told to close all SILK markets after one month of the start of the swap. The entire swap will be handled on Weaver. The new GitHub is here - https://GitHub.com/Silkcoin and upon launch the new wallet will be found there along with the Mac, Windows and Ubuntu(Linux) binaries. More info to come.....

May i suggest a time-limited swap period (30 days?) after which all swap-distribution created SLK are burned. Makes little sense to have a lot of 'dead' coin floating around from people that may have just deleted their dat file etc. There may also be people that choose to for some reason not swap their SILK.

Well slap me around and call me Susan. I completely missed that. Cool, I'm 100% behind this. Good luck, and nice to see a Dev that sticks to his timeline and promise even without ICO money or huge premines.

Good luck, and nice to see a Dev that sticks to his timeline and promise even without ICO money or huge premines. For the Weaver system there will be an IPO for Weaver Tokens. But in terms of a presale for DarkSilk, I was considering it, but I have never held an IPO before. I have been working on this since around April/May time and have only been receiving donations. The Weaver system is so comprehensive and ahead in terms of a lot of systems which have had a lot of investment and a large team backing them. I wouldn't think it unfair if I were to hold an IPO. I was talking with friends and others I work with and we were laughing at the amount of ICO/IPO's that have happened and nothing materialises. If we had 10% of what Ethereum had, well....

We'll no longer be able to swap Silk for DarkSilk?
I am still ironing out the whole system of Weaver and the interaction between Silkcoin and DarkSilk. One thing that is 100% is that Silkcoin will be relaunched and existing holders will be able to swap 1:1 for the new Silkcoin. I am thinking about an IPO for both DarkSilk and Weaver Tokens which can be be purchased/swapped for BTC and also Silkcoin. I want to continue development, grow the DarkSilk Foundation and be able to fund servers, marketing and other arising costs.

The system sounds fascinating, I'm looking forward to learning more about it.
