It looks like the spent weight per block is anywhere from 30k -250k with 150k looking to be the average (back of the envelope calculations).

I'm new in the HyperStake world and I saw that the wiki isn't update, so I change the value 4000 HYP with 150k HYP in this page : http://hyperstake.wikia.com/wiki/What_is_PoS%3F?action=edit&section=2
(Before, with the wiki I was thinking I was rich with my 10k HYP, but in fact not ^_^'' )

presstab was talking about the weight of 150k, not the block size. A block of 150k HYP will give 1,5m weight in 10 days.

Oh, ok, thank you, then what are the best block size now? Because a block with 10k HYP is on "medium-high" priority and a 3.5k is less (I don't remember what is written on the priority column).

Édit : I re-update the wiki for changing 150k with 4000, like it was before, but it's far from "the" good value now Wink

Try to experiment with a 10k-15k block size. It will translate into a 100k-150k weight on the 10th day of the block age. Sizes below 10k still apply but you'll need to wait more for your first stake.

Yes, I have all my blocks at 25k now and at day 10 the weight is ~250k. Almost all of mine stake within 15-17 days depending on difficulty.

Depends on what you consider "better".

If better means quick stake, then go with the 25k block.

If better means best return on your money, then go with the 15k block. Lets assume that on average you will stake around 200k stake weight. It would take the 15k block about 13.5 days to get there and it would stake a 1k block reward, an annualized stake rate of 180%. The 25k block would be at 200k right before the 8.8 day maturity, and assuming it stakes right at 8.8 days (unlikely) it would yield a 1k block which comes out to a 166% annualized reward.

So it is about your preference of wait time vs higher reward %.

This is up to you to decide. If you want quicker stakes then you need larger block sizes (larger block size = more coin weight = quicker stakes in theory). If you don't care about time to stake then you can have smaller block sizes. For instance my block sizes of 25k usually stake twice in a month. Having smaller block sizes usually means that the block will usually take longer to stake. This all depends on difficulty of course. Once difficultly stays above 30 consistently then I probably will match my block size to the average difficulty (ex: avg. difficulty = 35 then my block size would be 35K).

Still possible and people are still hitting it quite often. Look at the annual stake rate chart to see what people have been staking recently http://www.presstab.pw/phpexplorer/HYP/index.php

Still possible and people are still hitting it quite often. Look at the annual stake rate chart to see what people have been staking recently http://www.presstab.pw/phpexplorer/HYP/index.php

How are those stake percentage values calculated?  Are you sure those numbers on the chart are not using the uncapped theoretical reward amount rather than the 1000 reward hard cap that I think almost everyone must be hitting?  I have a hard time believing that any one has small enough blocks (ie <4000) that are not limited by the 1000 cap and are staking in a <20 day time period to make it even a possibility of hitting the ballpark of 750% annual.

From the above post re block size, with blocks of 25K taking ~15days to stake that is giving ~4% reward (1000/25000) with ~24 stake rounds/year (365/15) giving an instantaneous annual rate of 96%.  Actual annual rate would of course be less than that as typical staking block sizes continue to grow leading to a diminishing reward% per round (ie next round 1000/26000 = 3.8% reward).

They are using the actual reward. Feel free to investigate into some of them and work out the math yourself. It is always possible that there is an error in the chart and calculations, but I know I myself do see blocks that aren't 1k reward.
