I am working on a non-tech project that relates to BTCD, but it is about a month out, so not sure if there is any point to post about it. However, it needs some funding and so I am hoping that we can crowd fund it.
This wont be like a donation (even though it is quite worthy cause!), I will issue a NXT asset and then people who own the asset would get a percentage of revenues.
I know it is impossible to decide on how much to fund without more details, but I would like to gauge the level of interest. This is a chance for BTCD holders to help by investing in an asset that will directly help BTCD and also provide dividends. It probably needs around 30,000 BTCD worth of funding, still working on exact budgets, etc.
So, if the concept is something you like and find promising, how many people will purchase asset to crowdfund this?

Funding is always important, i have an idea on how to fund all BTCD project hopefully everyone can talk it over and agree at some point, i think the best way to collect funds is setup BTCD development pot for everyone that would like to donate and also the multipools to add a fee on their pools that will be forwarded to the development fund when shifts are ending and they send payments

OK, I got permission to disclose some info.
My non-tech project deals with the fiat cash side of privacy based crypto. Now many have some nice amounts in crypto, but there is no easy way to convert the crypto to cash, unless you consider invasive disclosings of all your personal info to some low level worker into some unsecured database that is open to who knows how many people. If you are ok with that, then you wont need this project.
However, if you dream of BTCD -> anon bank card, then this is the project! Since that is what I am putting together. The card only needs a deposit address that you bind to it, then you send BTCD to that address and it appears on the card balance. From there you can use for online purchase or even withdraw cash from ATM. Now if say 100 cards are distributed out at a tradeshow by randomly getting a card out of a box, then there is no way to correlate who has which card. You can always exchange cards with someone else and there is no trace on blockchain of who holds the card. Its like bearer bonds, whoever has it gets to use it, but no way to know who has it.
As you can see, I take privacy seriously and take a full spectrum approach, not limited to fancy codings
Goal is for card fees of ~3%, still working on getting all the details in place. The asset will get 1% of the fees, so this allows for funding of all the requirements to issue the card. I have a card processor I am working with and so this will be a totally outsourced operation. Now I dont believe even BTC has an anon card!
We will also get BTCD -> normal credit card in operation in the near future. That is much easier as it is to any visa/mastercard that you have. 2 days after you send BTCD it is on your card balance. Of course, that is not anon at all.
I am hoping for community support on this one as this will be first crypto with anon cash ability. By crowd funding this, anybody with BTCD can help to achieve a crypto first.

I don't think we need more, we just need more support on the ones that are doing this already. My pool it automated and trades and buys throughout the complete shift, and then payments are sent. Nothing is stored, no one has accounts. No such thing as manual payouts. http://btcd.xpool.caCheers!

Ooh, I see some possible legal issues with this... I would applaud such an option, but there is no way that "a bank card" would be accepted in an ATM in the Netherlands. It would have to be a card on the Cirrus/Maestro (or one of the major CC companies) network to be accepted at most ATM's. It is incredible All these issues are solved and outsourced, so all we need is the funding Assuming that it looks like we can fund this, I will issue asset on NXT. I wouldn't like to find out that my local ATM's don't support this card

Now my understanding is that you can use a mastercard debit card in pretty much any ATM in world, with some exceptions. I dont think it matters which company is issuing the card as long as they are part of the global payments network. I dont know if we will get full mastercard level compatibility, but all these details we will clarify before funding starts James

Hi everyone, I was asked to help with kickstarting the marketing side of this project. I am already involved in Nxt (for 8 months) and I am starting with the CryptoNote technology, so this is why it was logical to add BTCD, since these 3 projects are going to work together. We have a lot of common with jl777, both of us prefer working alone, day/night... Devs told me to publish the plans, but this isn't my nature, since I am not a pre-announcer or pump-dumper. All marketing stuff will be created with the long-term goals. No lies, no hypes, just facts, presented in some nicer form. The only little problem is - I don't have any bigger stake in BTCD, so it would be very nice of bigger holders (5k+?), if they could donate just 1-5% of their stakes (see my signature) for marketing. But rather after some work will be really done, not yet . Right now, there is still only that one article that lead a price from the 50k to 200-300k, so early miners/buyers here had some nice profits. But even 300k is still very undervalued Hi everyone, I'd just like to mention that Salsacz is coming on board to handle media relations. He was responsible for that great coinsource article, which seemed to be the spark in getting us a lot more attention. I'm really looking forward to seeing what he can do. So get ready for a lot more press coverage!
