i honestly cant believe that every time i check this page im at least 5 pages behind.
and the best part is its not full of spam or fud its useful information and a good proportion is from james and other devs.
this is the first coin im glad to be holding and have no intention to sell anytime soon. i much rather leave my wallet open 24/7 and collect some stake Tongue
this coin is going to be a huge success.... soon it will be LTC? whats LTC? Tongue

LTC is what I bought for $17 and sold at $5
yes 40 LTC
Fortunately, I bought BTCD with most of it

Someone just sold around 5000 BTCD on both exchanges. If you look at 12 hour chart, it shows quite a different picture than 1 week chart

somebody bought all that BTCD and so now we have a new BTCD owner with a higher cost basis. This process of WH selling and lowering the price, causing more WH to sell is a necessary and expected thing to happen and also explains why things go in waves.

I did warn that price can easily drop 20% to 30% at anytime. I guess the flip side of going up 40% on any given day.

This is why I would have preferred the slower 5% per day steady gains...
Now there will be some people who have BTCD and hodling at a loss, which is always psychologically more difficult than hodling with a profit. Just think in terms of more normal investments. Do you expect massive gains instantly? If you do, then you can easily get massive losses. Patience is the key. As long as nothing fundamental has changed, then all this price increase has done is accelerate the timeframe to Top 10

I wonder who predicted BTCD would be in the Top 10...

James

A few nervous weak hands around this 008-009 price-point understandably.  Classic flash crash to 0076 on bittrex.  Great time for new / smart money to pick up a few cheaper coins.  If you're lucky it will pull back under 007 before bouncing back through 009.  I'll put some cheeky buys around 0065 but I doubt we will get there.  (he says as trex is bought back up to 009 LOL)

No linux wallet! Sad
Any chance to release the wallet source code?
(Any reason for not doing so?)

0.5% of the coinsupply was sold in the same instant!
Within half hour it mostly bounces back. I think some traders are still assuming BTCD will act normally
maybe it will, maybe it wont.

What coin can handle such a sell and absorb it with not even a 10% hit to price? currently  around .0085

all this IRC and crazy market has been quite distracting...
I will get some breakfast now and finally start coding today

tradebots are designed for different purpose than etherium
they run node specific code with full access to all of my tech, any coin's blockchain, website API, etc. So you can make a tradebot to do automated trading. I chose to use C, well because I am a simple C programmer, and I will be making many library functions.
Since each tradebot is unique to each node there is no assurance of identical results from each node that is required for a global blockchain. However, if tradebot synchronization library calls are added and also some data synchronization then a linked set of tradebots would be able to generate identical blocks of data at regular intervals. This sounds to me like a parallel blockchain or sidechain, not actually sure the proper name.

So, working bottom up, it is quite possible to construct any sort of system you can envision (and code). Any input to the type of library calls you want supported and specific use cases will help me make tradebots that are most useful. With a growing supernetwork, the tradebots will be the best way for talented C coders to make money as I will also make a way for people to obtain popular tradebots and run them to generate profits, which are then shared with the author.

So, some sort of distributed storage should not be so hard once you solve the virtual sector addressing. Yes, you can use the node's public address as the first part of the sector address and the amount of sectors it is contributing as a way to directly address disk space from the tradebot cloud. To maintain availability you will of course need redundancy, but these are things for the higher level file system to solve.

I am have done teleports between my servers, I am trying to finish the accounting code, but I seem to keep getting sidetracked. last stable source for my stuff is https://github.com/jl777/libjl777
I havent updated in a while as things are not stable yet with all the latest changes
the wallet source should be available, I think they are transitioning DNS for the website

key test of .008
if it holds, .008 could be the new floor
the reason is that people are trading BTCD and people like round numbers

we saw.006, .007, .009 all act as resistance until they became support
this stuff is allfrom nobrainertrades
