I also always dump the other coins through LTC markets if they exist as then I end up with more BTC versus a straight exchange to BTC.

Based on my multipool set up i only receive BTC so i directly exchange them to BTCD

exactly. I tend to stick to mining coins and dumping them for a couple reasons. One being it brings down their prices (competition) and also can take advantage in upswings. On the downside, it's higher maintenance.

I think this is a very good place to rest and build a nice solid floor
the longer we go sideways, the better foundation for the next leg up.

Remember, it has done this quite a few times. Doubles or triples, consolidates, repeat. Usually the consolidates are drops of 20% to 30%, but we have gone through a cycle where consolidation just means not gaining price.

with whale games going on, it is hard to tell where the proper ATH is so I just look at the 1 week and even All timeframe and then it seems quite clear about the price action. The faster time frames are full of noise and games, might as well watch a bouncing ball or a clown on a trampoline

since my trial version of Parallels on mac ran out a week ago I'm back to my wallet on Mac. this trend was on parallel and now still happening on my staking on mac, I noticed that I'm getting more coins mined, about 25%-50% more! I'm wondering what's the reason, I thought maybe less coins were staking because of trading but at that time james and others were posting that like 90% are staking so can't be that. Anybody experienced the same or have an explanation? (I'm sure very happy with the extra btcd )
Also since I'm still getting sometimes over 50% rejection rate, I wonder maybe this does not affect my gains much and my reasoning is that when a block is rejected, the staking coins don't get locked(?) and they already got a high weight so they solve another block pretty soon and only a little delay happens. Would that be right?

btw I changed my internet provider to a much better connection so not sure this is the reason in my case, maybe just the goeolocation away from the majority of the nodes..

I am almost sure the problem is that your old ISP (and my current one) was dropping connections and Windows has different timeouts than Mac, which allowed Windows to recover faster and resume staking

i agree, its way more of a platform then a rival currency.
also like james said in the irc, btcd actively wants to play together with all the anon coins - it would be great if they can fund the telepods.

BTC is the gateway crypto for fiat to flow into our world. It is not only our friend, it is the crypto we need to most help!
BTCD/BTC is what BTCD is price in, so if we double the value of BTC, we just doubled the value of BTCD

In my mind all crypto is the same thing with just different prices for different colors. We work to increase the value of any crypto and that helps all crypto, including BTCD.

I want to create a big giant vortex of fiat flowing into crypto and BTC is the gateway that it will come pouring in from.

You have read how BTC could oneday be worth $5000?
Well, ever wonder how on earth that was going to happen?
