Thanks James, Yeah I think I've got a better handle on it now. So, I take it that in some way other coin devs would licence your technology/code if they want the features you mentioned.

Actually I am working out the details so that users who are plugging into the supernetwork will get some revenue sharing. There will be offsetting credits and debits, but as long as the usage is normal users should be getting some rebates. James P.S. The source of the money is not magic, but rather from the trade commissions and bet fees, etc. Of course these fees will be lower than what is possible from any centralized service for the same, so they save money on this while funding the rebates.

James,
Don't want to sidetrack you too much, but your posts are interesting to read.
what are your thoughts on BitsharesX?
Do you see it as a competitor of NXT and BTCD? Because of the TITAN anonymity and assets features.
Was thinking on putting 1/6 on BTSX, 1/6 on BTCD and 1/6 on BTC. Leaving 3/6 of my fiat for maneuvering / recouping losses.

avoid btsx, holographic peg is not solid, just a matter of time before chainreaction selling makes it crash TITAN is alias system more than anon, bitshares aggressive marketing dont take my word for it though, a guy a LOT smarter than me made same conclusion: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=298677.msg3199026#msg3199026

Not sure if I mentioned, the local encryption/decryption is debugged. Actually it just worked the first time, so I didnt really have to debug it, maybe that's why I dont think I posted about it.
I did make some simplications, but also a new requirement that each coin must have a "pubaddr" and that when you are teleporting coinX, it will end up encrypted with the coinX's pubaddr. I just realized this might have created a bug with the sending to BTCD pubaddr. I just dont think it is practical to have a different pubaddr for each coin that you will be getting telepods with. What a mess. This way, all teleports are sent to BTCD pubaddr and it ends up in the proper coin's encryption sequence.

It looks like the code is properly separating the delivery coin destination from the telepod cointype, but really need a live test to make sure. Still waiting on the release, running out of things to do. I guess I will look into changepods as it seems we will need those. James

I took a look at the price and it seems the whales have stopped their silly games! This allows the price to build a nice solid base at .009 and like a foundation for a building, the taller the building you want, the wider the base should be. Unless you make it out of superstrong materials from the future The longer term average has finally caught up with the price and for most coins, it would be going into negative territory during this consolidation phase. But as has been the case, BTCD's "down" cycle is just going sideways. A 10:1 buy vs sell ratio and this looks like actual people bids, not silly bots, so with support like this it gives nice confidence for traders to come in. Now some people say we are down from ATH of .012, but really all the .01 to .012 stuff started when somebody bought out the entire polo sell side up to .025 or something like that and this rippled to the other markets. If you ignore these whale games and draw a smooth long term line you will see BTCD is making nice "turtle" like progress. So while it is quite fun to see the trampoline clown (and profitable now we know the game), the real progress is the turtle just making steady gains day by day. That is really the sustainable price growth, so if you just buy when it is at the long term green line and sell when the whale makes a big splash, then soon maybe you become the whale. When you have something you can be confident in and it has a solid base, the risk level goes down as it approaches the support. Then you can estimate how high the trampoline games will take it and if the ratio of falling to the support vs. rising to the expected level is a minimum of 3:1, then you are going to be fine in the long run. Even if you are only right 1 of three times, you are still fine. If you are right 2 of 3 you are making nice gains. Now if the ratio goes to some crazy 10:1 then you just need to be right a few times. Also the bigger of a gain you are waiting for, the less you are trading and the opposite the smaller gain, the more you are trading. Finding the right balance is tricky and depends on your risk tolerance, time availability, etc. The other thing is that if you do get over excited (not hard in this market) and end up buying at the higher end of the range, it means you need to wait for the turtle to catch up to you. So maybe you are on the sidelines for a while James

Slow and steady wins the race! I suck at daytrading, so even though I've been able to call most rises/falls in price, I'm not risking any of my investment. Hodl!

You can always copy+paste some of your local notes into your or the btcd wiki. i'd rather peel raw encrypted onions remembered I still need to address the packet to the privacy server and not the actual destination as the only path to a random peer is via broadcast and no sense in using that unless absolutely necessary Its just a few line that need to change, but has to be precise

Jame, asked this earlier, have not seen any answer:
Regarding telepod creation, you have noted several times that telepod creation will not be an attractive activity for all. Can you develop your ideas about this, what situations / conditions would make creation attractive, be it legal situation, economic entity, liability limitation, national jurisdiction etc. Thx.

maybe profit? I think there will be vendors who setup selling telepods for a markup they would have the expertise so that there are setup to be immune from foreign laws and maybe they are setting up funding via already anon source. Basically these "Teleport-station terminals" that feed into the overall teleport economy is what I think will happen. I will make some demonstration version so that anybody that wants to can set one up and they can add whatever additional protections they feel warranted. The mechanism to then have a way to trade for these telepods would be made, eg. InstantDEX tradebots, or just some alternate channel communications. For most people, I think to make a "transporter" account and then fund it from coinbase will be fine for small amounts. nobody is going to care about a few BTC being fed into the system. but of course N users * 3 BTC creates quite enough telepods for any normal level of activity. I havent worked out all the details, but it is like making the carpet and paint for a house after it is built. Without it, nobody will like it so much, but compared to the actual building of the house it is not a matter to lose sleep over. James P.S. I am hoping to have some prearranged "vending machines" for people to be able to get telepods, especially via other anon coins. send any coin to the vending machine and telepod appears in your computer.

Will be interesting how much these telepods can fall under the same legal definitions as digital currency instruments, so that the jurisdictions that are developing favorably for btc will have an advantage. I like the vending machine idea. The gui keeps getting more important here. Kristov Atlas mentions at show closing that he is studying the darkpaper and will likely have something to say about it next week, might be an very opportune moment to forward him a schema of the mechanics with the onion routing, randomizing, m numbers etc. plus the ecosystem perspective.
