... and with all this going on, and a cryptocurrency game-changing release imminent, people are selling!  That's not my buy wall at 850k on bittrex, but I have filled my boots from 800k to 850k between the exchanges today.  There's going to be some very sorry people soon, and I don't think it will be those who bought at this price...

I want to understand how staking works and where the staked coins come from.

Is it like Nxt forging and the coins come from tx fees or are there new coins created by staking?

not much time
One request: Do not stoop to the level of the trolls!
Please, I do get a bit upset at times, but I try to respond in a way that is logical and certainly never resort to namecalling
If they just go illogical just respond, "I am not made of cheese"
trolls get really confused by that, still waiting for one of them to ask me what that means

About BBR. I am in discussions with crypto_zoidberg. More details when we are ready

much debugging
little time
Please set a high standard of behavior and make me proud. If there is any pollution in this thread, then it should only be from trolls.

Thanks

James

Whoa 12btc buy wall on neos after I said this?

whats happening Shocked

Neos part of btcd coins like bbr?

If so then expect a pump, considering its got a 98k usd market cap

Jame, asked this earlier, have not seen any answer:

Regarding telepod creation, you have noted several times that telepod creation will not be an attractive activity for all. Can you develop your ideas about this, what situations / conditions would make creation attractive, be it legal situation, economic entity, liability limitation, national jurisdiction etc.  Thx.
maybe profit?
I think there will be vendors who setup selling telepods for a markup
they would have the expertise so that there are setup to be immune from foreign laws and maybe they are setting up funding via already anon source.

Basically these "Teleport-station terminals" that feed into the overall teleport economy is what I think will happen.
I will make some demonstration version so that anybody that wants to can set one up and they can add whatever additional protections they feel warranted. The mechanism to then have a way to trade for these telepods would be made, eg. InstantDEX tradebots, or just some alternate channel communications.

For most people, I think to make a "transporter" account and then fund it from coinbase will be fine for small amounts. nobody is going to care about a few BTC being fed into the system. but of course N users * 3 BTC creates quite enough telepods for any normal level of activity.

I havent worked out all the details, but it is like making the carpet and paint for a house after it is built. Without it, nobody will like it so much, but compared to the actual building of the house it is not a matter to lose sleep over.

James

P.S. I am hoping to have some prearranged "vending machines" for people to be able to get telepods, especially via other anon coins. send any coin to the vending machine and telepod appears in your computer.

Will be interesting how much these telepods can fall under the same legal definitions as digital currency instruments, so that the jurisdictions that are developing favorably for btc will have an advantage. I like the vending machine idea. The gui keeps getting more important here.

Kristov Atlas mentions at show closing that he is studying the darkpaper and will likely have something to say about it next week, might be an very opportune moment to forward him a schema of the mechanics with the onion routing, randomizing, m numbers etc. plus the ecosystem perspective.

if you are in contact with anybody reviewing DarkPaper, let them know I am always available for answering questions (in writing)

And james have you ever thought about cryptonites mini-blockchain tech? With a mini blockchain combined with bitcoindark, it would be completely future proofed, as the blockchain would never get larger than a few mb.

Link: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=713538.0

Apart from btcd I think its the most innovative approach to crypto to date, unfortunately its not getting the attention it deserves. Its seriously amazing technology. Is it even possible to combine this with btcd?

while anything is possible, I think it will be difficult to make a coin that CANNOT work with Teleport. Maybe some extra work if it is using non-bitcoin protocol, but the Teleport principles are pretty universal.

It is like a transport device can move anything made of matter, but maybe if it is liquid or gas or corrosive you have to have different containments. A coin with a small blockchain would have a unique benefit as it would be able to handle a lot more teleports than any other coin. I dont have time to be proactive on this, but if you can make contact with their team and introduce the concept, then if they are interested I will try to find time to investigate

I couldnt figure out where their servers are? I guess it is a distributed solution, so not the greatest from that standpoint, but combine it with teleport and it would fix a possible vulnerability (govt seizure) for them

I think james can announce a new thread for more ppl and dev to know better with Teleport.
Then they can try to implement telepod to their coins themselves. Smiley

I think james can announce a new thread for more ppl and dev to know better with Teleport.
Then they can try to implement telepod to their coins themselves. Smiley
new coin support is adding one line to jl777.conf file, at least if it is bitcoin fork
if it is not, then best I do the first one of its type, then all the following will be a line in the .conf file
