great thanks. I've been bugging them about that and more so since Cryptsy is holding BTCD withdraws hostage.

I have arranged it with Poloniex so that all the BTCD used for SuperNET will be staking and sending those funds to the community.
IPO on track to be starting before Friday, not sure of exact time, but busoni is very good dev

Apologies if this has been discussed already. I've been out of circulation for a fortnight with almost no web access. I'm curious about the economic effect of the ipo.
Ethereum has been blamed for sucking btc out of the system and causing a brutal bear market in the alts. Would this be the reverse of that? Btc used to buy selected anon-alts, significantly boosting their prices. Plus the supply/demand effect of tying up thousands of btc-worth of coins in cold storage. Alts like Litecoin get hit both ways - sold as a vehicle to buy SuperNET shares and then excluded from joining the network.
Thoughts?

i think coins lacking innovation will suffer, which is good in my opinion. like you said, coins that aren't part of SN might be sold by people looking for funds to invest with. some people will reject this, ie hodlers of forks. they will write off SN as some giant "ponzi scheme" or whatever terminology. which is also good; the crypto world doesn't need people who are afraid of change. we're seeing technological innovation in this specific sector happening extremely fast (EXTREMELY!!). i think we'll see a fair amount of people and coins get flushed out with the advent of SN adapt or perish...

Bought and transferred 40+ BTCD in July without any problem. But, since than they are having problem. Even James couldn't withdraw his BTCD from Cryptsy. That's really a shame for Crpytsy's service. I'm not going to use them anymore until they give back all the balance + the staking amount to users. And, anyway my only remaining BTC balance is 0.0001 in there, nothing significant.

most coins for SuperNET wont be anon coins, any coin with some unique value will have a chance to be in the SuperNET CORE. Also, even LTC can purchase text ads if they actually have any value to offer. Poor LTC, dead coin walking... I am working on direct fiat -> SuperNET IPO so this will shield most of crypto from the effect. With the expected revaluation upon trading, many will have a lot more BTC available. Essentially a mass infusion of capital into crypto markets. James

The market should start doing the following: 1. evaluate the coins they own to see if it has any unique features and if not, then I apologize to them for what is about to happen. If they are reading this, then hopefully they can get better price. 2. they can then look for coins with good unique features and a good community to target the coins most likely to become part of SuperNET CORE. it is risky as all the coins look like they will be saying they will get into the CORE, but the people that can properly evaluate the odds, could make some good money 3. they can just buy at IPO and wait for only the actual deals, which SuperNET benefits from and also collect the future dividends. 4. Some NXT assets will also become part of the CORE, and could well start trading on some exchanges The expected size of offering and thus the userbase of SuperNET is getting pretty large. With the expected value of the future dividends being proportional to the number of users, the larger the IPO, the more the expected value and the higher the expected book value multiple upon trading (up to some saturation limit if it really goes crazy high, but this is not so likely as there is no fancy marketing stuff, just my ramblings) James P.S. for those who are worried that SuperNET will somehow compete with BTCD, I hope you are understanding properly now.

Not sure if it's possible to tell how many btcd they have but I'm sure the trade off of angry customers out weighs the free btcd they get from staking then investing in IPO.

I read they have issues with many coins. Just ask in chat if anyone has withdrawn any other coin today with success and then convert your btcd to that coin and transfer them to another exchange. Before converting your btcd, convert a small piece just to try the withdrawal. At first I believe they were just staking. Now I believe they have transferred coins somewhere else and those delays is just lack of liquidity. I think we are just trading nothing on cryptsy. Just numbers. I also think cryptsy will become next mtgox.

let's see if I have any influence. I gave cryptsy 24hrs to release all the hostages (our BTCD!), if not I will start weaving into my narrative how they are the equivalent of some coin that made me upset. When will people realize it is not wise to get jl777 mad at them...

On a more positive note, bter for some reason will be supporting BTCD/BTC and BTCD/CNY. Could be tomorrow or the next day. Some people are realizing it is best to make me happy James

Some people are realizing it is best to make me happy James I would really love to see BTCD/CNY happen after the anon card. China is frustrated by the central bank against BTC If the anon card was ready, a good promotion was in china and then to hit the chinese exchanges, it would make its value explode.
