There are several different types of Bitcoin clients. The most secure are full nodes like Bitcoin Core, which will follow the rules of the network no matter what miners do. Even if every miner decided to create 1000 bitcoins per block, full nodes would stick to the rules and reject those blocks.

This is nonsense. You're coins are staking not being stolen.

How do I disable PoS?

Do I need to change to:
Quote
gen=0
in the config file?

And what's the estimated time for the coins to return?

Yes but if he unlocks it then it will automatically try to stake that moment... which is likely what happened.

I just got my coins back! Grin
What a relief!

And yes.. my wallet is locked.
Quote

error: {"code":-13,"message":"Error: Please enter the wallet passphrase with walletpassphrase first."}

I haven't unlocked my wallet, the only time that could have happend were when someone requested a payout/withdrawal. Since payouts are managed automatically.

So telepathy sounds very interesting and could be a complete breakthrough in anonymity. Tell me, do you think it will be possible to completely replace Tor with such a system? If so, in terms of speed will it be able to function faster then Tor?

I had a conversation along these lines with James. Problem is that Telepathy is extremely strong, but it's a closed system: you can communicate very securely with other users, but accessing websites is different matter.
If someone could come up with a way of creating a TOR gateway, or a way of accessing webpages via Telepathy, that would be fantastic. It would also be possible to store static content in the cloud and have a kind of limited mini darkweb within the Telepathy network. But all of this needs people to build apps on top of Teleport.

What if you could access webpages stored on the distributed storage system, and these websites can use a blockchain as their database?
definitely possible to store HTML in the cloud
getting all the active web stuff will be much more difficult, but static content wont be a problem
in fact, this could give some value to NXT aliases which could have the cloud lookup info in the alias description

Trying to spread word on twitter and someone pointed me towards supercoin. Unfortunately I am not very tech savvy. If someone could tell me bitcoindark's advantages over this coin it would help me greatly. The coin supposedly does off the blockchain transactions as well (supersend... dumb name) I'm behind James 100%- he is an awesome dev, so don't take this as any kind of FUD, I'm just looking for some good points to bring up against supercoin in favor of BTCD. Thanks!

It looks like it is just a coin mixer function that can be utilized inside the wallet.  However, it looks like it relies on a trusted node to accomplish this task, e.g. their official mining pool.

They claim that a completely trust-less decentralized system is too difficult to build because information will be leaked to other nodes that can cheat...However, James has solved this problem with teleport so information will not be leaked to other nodes.

BitcoinDark is achieving the holy grail of crypto, to be a completely trust-less decentralized off-blockchain exchange mechanism that is also truly anonymous / private.
